People slammed it because they didn't like the idea of Solstice like styling. That being said I don't see any Solstice at all in this. So maybe you should not be trying to rub this in everyone's face.

Looks sweet, can't wait to see higher res pics. The grille looks very nice and as someone said, more than a little BMW-ish, I think in the vein of the E36 models moreso than anything from the current stable - but that's not a bad thing.

It looks like they added a side marker light to the bumper in front of the wheel arch as well, but the one in the headlight assembly looks to be still there too - why add the light if the original is still present. IMO, it looks cleaner without the add-on lamp.

It seems that things are starting to look up for Pontiac methinks - OK maybe it means more to RWD fans who need more than two doors and have been waiting so long for something cool that indeed "drives the right wheels" from the General than it really does for Pontiac right now.

I still like it..... a lot, this VE car.

I love it, reminds me of my old E36 M3, with the utility of my last sedan, the Audi S4, but the performance should out-do both of those cars...which was my main reason for selling them. They couldn't be made truly fast and reliably so, without serious $$$.

With my pending marriage, children will ensue...and the Camaro will most likely remain a fantasy for the near-term.

I'll be buying a G8 most likely.

I actually think what I've seen so far looks better than the Holden front clip.

Check out those brakes!

I'm not trying to rub it in everyones face. Just pointing it out. We all knew it wouldn't have a direct graft of the Solstice nose on the Holden...it just would never work.

Lets face it..the original piece that said it would feature "solstice like" styling was a lie meant to generate buzz, which it did.

They did a damn good job creating some buzz then.
As of right now I'm loving it, it looks quite mean and I'm dying now to see it in the flesh.
Do we have any ballpark on price yet?

Go check the weight on the smaller CTSv, the same size Lexus LS460 & BMW 750Li (4.8 V8).

THEN....... come back and lets talk what defines "too heavy" for RWD, IRS, V8 powered, 190"+ long sedans.

Word I got was this fall. Regardless, you won't be waiting very long.

It was one year ago in February I got into a extremely intense debate with someone on that very subject right here on this site. One said GM simply killed everything Pontiac had planned on Zeta and was starting from scratch. I knew that wasn't the case and even if you didn't know someone actually involved in the project, it didn't take alot to figure out GM had something planned for Pontiac.

Lo and behold, Pontiac has a new Zeta sedan coming! And we don't have to wait till 2012, 2018, or the next milinium. GM really didn't leave Pontiac out to dry.

Shocking, isn't it?

Gee..... Guess what other 4 door sedan is going to share the same inner structure as the Pontiac?

Like I posted, I think I know Holden well enough that they wouldn't do a half assed job like that.

I think some people will be eating a bit (OK, alot) of crow when the background of it's design and it's planning becomes public. I'm just going to sit back in the meantime.

If I can't show how a structure is highly configuable by posting pictures of it and going into detailed descriptions, I ain't even going to try to explain anything here till after it's in print.

Then one can..... how was it put?........

"Assuming it's veracity is unimpeachable".

(poking fun... not being malicious)

A larger one of the one in the first post. Note how the Pontiac emblem is monochrome and notched at the top. That isn't a result of the vid quality.

I don't know about exactly like the Woodward GTO but it isn't to far off.

With that short front end, it sure does look like it has some BMW characteristic in it. From the 2 feet of the car that I see, it looks awesome. Can't wait to see the rest of it at the upcoming auto show.

Not even close.

(cept for the grille/Pontiac arrow)
