Not until the GXP model is released with the LS3 engine. The good thing about the L76 6.0L V8 is that it makes 362 HP and 391 ft/lbs of torque while running on regular gas. It also has displacement on demand. So until the GXP is realeased, an 05+ GTO will still have the power advantage.

Bear in mind that the L76 uses LS7-style heads. The stock torque is close to the LS2. Cam + valvesprings + tune = > LS2 hp/tq. values.
You still have to offset the additional 150 lbs of weight, but it's a lot closer between the two cars than you might think...
