Post I just read this comparison of Camaro-Mustang

http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/compa...1/page013.html

Thats the site. This is an outrage. These clowns make me suicidal. These guys rounded themselves up a Mustang GT Bullit. I wouldnt have a problem with this, but they compared it to a regular Z. They say the mustang has subframes and all the bit. The Z is still regular. They then go on to say the Z kicks the living crap out of the mustang performance wise, and then turn around and say the Z has bad handling. Then they say the overall rating goes to the mustang. WTF?? Then to top it all off they say this mustangs interior and exterior looks are nicer. Now, I dont know what these guys are smoking, but they just got the best of the best mustang with leather and appearance upgrades, and a Regular Z. They didnt even give the Z a chance as far as comfort, they didnt even get the leather. This is the gayest comparison in the history of Vehicular Moduals.

It just pissed me off so bad i had to show you guys.

I read that BS article the other day, you're right about them being CLOWNS! Probably a couple of ex ford workers turned supposedly "experts", what a joke!! Well, I love the looks of my Camaro, the ride, the interior, everything is superior to the mustang. Why don't they compare them again in a couple of months when everything inside the mustang is falling apart. Give me a Camaro any day of the week!!! Later....

Cool

As a Former new stang owner I can tell you this...

IMHO , The Mustang has better quality as far as interior pieces go.Like power window buttons , door panels and a little heavier duty plastic pieces used through-out the interior. The stuffed leather seats are thicker and more softer to ride in , but seems to be engineered twords women because the drivers seat sits way too high for a 6' tall man like myself. As far as handling goes...who cares ?
They both perform great , but we all know that dont make a hill of beans when we pull up to the redlight beside the next gear-head trying to get to that next light first.
I loved the quality and newly found(99-03) horse power of my 01 GT , but will never regret the day I test drove and bought the raw power that the LS1 delivers.

I thought the review was honest, and the pile of parts in my garage from my '00 Z reflects that.

Those seats were the first to go (I had the cheap factory cloth instead of cheap factory leather), replaced with Corbeaus.

Then several thousand dollars went to replacing and upgrading the factory springs, shocks, LCAs, PHR, muffler, and 16" wheels and tires (to 18"). I'm happy with my Z28 now, but couldn't live with it stock - as they reviewed it.

I still miss the refinement and fit-and-finish levels found in other cars (my '81 and '88 Mazdas come to mind) but it's a fun car. I drove a '00 Mustang - didn't like it, as it felt too cheap inside, and was not as good looking on the outside as the Z by far. The Bullit is an improvement, but it's still a Mustang. The F-body could be better, but then it wouldn't be the bargain that it is.

If you guys can't take criticism, stay away from reading reviews. Let it go, and hope the new Camaro is that much better. Read All Corvettes are Red by James Schefter (ISBN 0671685015) and understand what hurdles the GM engineers have behind the scenes at GM.
