Do you have to be in your 80's to drive this Buick....
Re: Do you have to be in your 80's to drive this Buick....
We just went and drove a CXS and I gotta tell you it is very nice.
The only issue I have is that the Chrysler 300 offers just as much (more in some respects) at a lower price.
The Lucerene has an edge in sophistication overall and the fact you won't pass yourself every five minutes in it, unlike the 300.
Comparing the 2 side-by-side, it is a dead heat until the price is figured in.... then the 300 wins. Hell, with employee pricing right now, you can get a 300 SRT-8 for the same $$$$ as a CXS!

If it were me I would wait and see on the Impala SS because I think GXP's and Impala SS's are pretty sweet FWD cars. However, the Lucerne is a nice car. And with the V8, portholes, black with chrome rims, its pretty stealthy looking.

I totaly had this car DOA last year. I am amazed at the popularity of the car...I really am. I never would have expected it to do as well as it did. I thought it was going to sink Buick.
I see the car more and more...and it is a really really nice car.

While I'm not a fan of the LaCrosse, I'd give the Lucerne CXS a big
If you like the way it drives (and obviously like fwd), go with the Lucerne and be a bit daring. Buick will continue its makeover over the next few years and shake up its "old folks" image, just as Cadillac has.
Even if Tiger wasn't on the payroll, he'd choose the Lucerne:

BUT if waiting was an option, I'd hold out for the new CTS.

The pics were just there for fun.

On looks alone, I'd take the Buick.
Both CXS and 300C cost the same (around $7,000 more than the SS). That being the case, I'd still take the 300C

I like the Lucerne more and more every time I see it (I am 28). My Dad and Mom both like this thing as well. It is the first car my Dad has specifically mentioned in years.
