Could the I5 fit in the Solstice?

Could the I5 fit in the Solstice?

If it could, i would personally rather see that in it. 220 hp, 225 ft/lbs N/A as the base or performance model of it. I guess cost would be the biggest problem holding that back to keep the solstice low priced, but then again the colorado has it and is less than 20k.

The I5 is way too big to fit into a compact car.
I've seen one in a Colorado and a Canyon. It fills the engine compartment of those trucks.

Hard to tell from the pics because you don't get the sense of proportion between the two engines.

I really doubt it would fit....but if it did...

Then fitting the 4.2 I6 wouldn't be much of a reach.....would it. Imagine...an American version of the TVR Speed Six!

Pontiac can have their wimpy Solstice (j/k)....Chevy would get a new Cheetah! Eventhough the original Cheetah's came with smallblocks...I like the idea.
