Will 2010 5th Gen 19" rims fit a 4th Gen?
All,
Picked up a 94Z and it needs some new rims and tires. I found a set of 19" wheels with 245/55/19 tires from a 2010 Camaro dirt cheap. I was looking for 17" or 18" wheels but this is a good deal. Will they fit? I'm already lowered on Koni's and a 1.25" drop.
What about the hub difference?
Offset?
I could care less about the diameter difference and speedo being off. As long as they fit.
Let me know. Thanks!

Tire size doesn't look right for the 19" wheel used on the 5th Gen (most tires are about 28.5" diameter), but if that's what is on them, it's a 29.7" diameter tire, four full inches larger than the 1994 stock (optional) 245/50-16 tires (25.7"). While you may not care about the speedo error (13.3% lower than true speed, or 52 MPH indicated at a true 60 MPH), the PCM won't be happy with it, if you have an auto trans.
The large diameter will also slow your car wayyyyy down. If you have a 3.23 rear axle for example, it will feel like you installed a set of 2.80 gears (if there was such a ratio). The mass of the huge tires and wheels will absorb a lot of HP while accelerating the car = less rear wheel HP.
Probably need a "fenderectomy" at all four corners to fit tires that large on a 4th Gen... I had to cut back the leading edge of the rear bumper cover by one inch to fit 28.1" slicks on my 94. Gonna look like a jacked up off-roader.
Then there's the issue of bolt circle.... 5 x 120mm for the 5th Gen, vs 120.65" for the 4th Gen. Some people say "ran 'em for years - no problems", other report loosened lug nuts and broken studs.
The 19" wheels were used on the 2010 LT, are 19 x 8.0" +38mm offset. Not a problem for a 4th Gen.

Stock was either 235/55-16 (26.2") or 245/50-16 (25.7") optional RPO QLC Z-rated tires. Tire info label on the door, or the service parts tag in the glove box will tell you what was on the car when it left the factory.
Still large.. might possibly squeeze them in the fenders. Radials grow less at speed than my bias-ply slicks. Will raise the car up a bit more than you already lowered it, riding slightly higher than stock. Still going to slow the car down.
