Cobalt SS Inventory Turn = Hours, not Days?

Sounds like my experience looking at the Cobalt SS, ironically. Not surprisingly that Chevy dealer still has that same SS sitting on the lot now, 2 weeks later.
It was a nice looking car though, I was disheartened that I didn't get to test drive it.

There's one here, just arrived. Black on black leather SS with really nice wheels. Loaded. Looks pretty serious, but it's actually not as small as you would think. Definitely worth looking into.

but yea, i saw somebody driving it as soon as they got it in
i saw it on the showroom for a day and it was gone the next (it was a yellow one)

Still not a SS to be seen in my area , and the way it sounds , even when they get them , there is a long line people to get behind and a few pre-orders .
Its a compact 4 banger for christ sake , I had a easier time looking at a C6 .

You could buy two Cobalt SS's for the price of one C6.

Absolutely. It's really a competitor to the Acura RSX, and an exceptional one at that. Far more powerful, and it has a very nice leather interior. The black on black one I saw was really impressive and priced slightly higher that the Z24. And its suspension and wheels are miles ahead of the Z24.
I can see that GM took the subcompact threat very seriously. It's about time.

Funny how those who complained about dealerships didn't respond to my post last week about asinine dealers.
Crack heads are typically the quality of people selling you a car. I feel dirty most of the time after visting a dealer. You would THINK they care because, well gee, that's how they make $$$. But again, crack heads have their minds on other things...like crack...
1990 Turbo Grand Prix and myself are about the only 2 salespeople in recent memory that actually know something about what they're selling, and actually give a crap. With the high turnover and low professionalism exhibited in the car business, its not surprising to see so much crap.
Not to derail my own thread, but the last time I shopped for a car (I left my dealership for about 7 months a few years ago) I visited another local Mitsubishi dealer to look at a used Grand Am. The sales guy was an idiot...he called me a few days later to ask if I wanted the car. I replied "No, we bought a different one." His response was "Gee, thanks for calling me back."
My response? "Hey assclown, why would I need to call you back if you neither a) called me before now asking me to call you or b) I bought another car and don't plan to utilize your services?" He didn't respond, I hung up and I will NEVER step foot on their property again.
At this same time, a local Buick/Pontiac/Chevy/GMC/Olds dealer had a wonderful old chap that told me to "get out of here, kid" when I explained to him that my '02 Grand Am GT was worth significantly more on trade than the $8,500 he was offering me on a used GP. I asked him to give me an NADA and I'd book it out for him, and it would show $12,200. That's when he said "I Can't even sell it for that...get out of here kid." I called him an assclown as well, and asked to see the sales manager. I then told the sales manager what an assclown he was that he would call a 24 year old adult with a LOT of cars to buy in the next 60 years a "kid."
I learned 2 things:
1) I love to use the word assclown
2) Most salespeople I have come in contact with are assclowns
Come to think of it, I should have added this to my own thread about GM dealers
