You know, after looking at that angle of the car, if the car were a little bit more elongated (not so fat in the fenders) or if it had a different front end than the first gen front end, I love that car. The original car looks too much like a first gen to my liking.

And I didn't say that old cars = low tech = crap. I have a third gen. A GenI smallblock with a carb with 2 injectore slapped on top. I'm building a new GenI smallblock 350. So I'm not big on hightech.

Well let's make sure we build a Camaro that caters to the import crowd. That's important.

I know Camaro needs to expand its reach and all, but in my pecking order of who the next Camaro needs to please most, it'd be something like

1. Hardcore Camaro enthusiasts
2. Potential Mustang buyers/current owners
3. "Just want a fun sporty car" crowd
.
.
.
.
.
9755. Those import guys who normally see U.S. cars as junk but might not be embarrassed to call the new Camaro "Phat".

Yes but the import crowd makes up a huge portion of the car enthusiest type of person. Plus by the time that this car would come out, they would A: be older and looking for a bigger car and B: want more power because they would have realized that a 165 hp i4 civic on naws isnt really that fast and would want something more exciting and fun to drive.

The car is... interesting.

1st of all, I think Kris is extremely talented, and he did a great design job for this Camaro. I think he caught the essence of the original Camaro.

That having been said, personally I really don't like the front end or the rear. Like the new Mustang, it takes a good design from the past, and modernizes it. But while Ford also did a modern interpretation of the front & rear of the new Mustang, ans skirted the very edge of the definition of "retro" & "heritage", Kris's fron & rear doesn't. It seems to simply take the past & directly sticks it on a otherwise good body.

A little more imagination on the rear end (especially the tail lights) and alot more imagination on the front, and I think that car would be every bit the winner the new Mustang's design is.

Actually if GM does go with a retro styled 5th gen Camaro, I'd kind of like it to be based more on the early 2nd gens.

That car is sweet. So far I was really looking at the EVO 8, but if this car came out, I'd jump all over it. WOW!

Looking at it again, the only thing I'd change is having the front end alittle sleaker. Alittle sharper. But even if you didn't change a thing, I'd be in line.

Just appearence based, not size However i hope they can find a good median in size, i do not want a small car.

Well i must say, besides the f-body's, my all time favorite camaro is a 69 camaro. That was my favorite year. I really like his design. But i'm not a huge fan of the front and rear of the car. It just looks a little cheap to me. The cars body lines looks real good but i don't like how the back looks like it goes inward and is black . Nor do i like how the lights are. But like i said it is a real nice design and if GM made that car with a little bit updated front and rear i wouldn't hesitate to buy it. As long as they remember how much hp the mustangs are gonna be putting down and don't slouch on that. Also they must make a t-top. Thats the reason i chose my camaro i have now over a mustang.

As far as I,m concerned it embodies everything I love about musclecars.
I would stand in line for a week to get one.

Great Job Kris.

Nice job Kris thats a well done design with a lot of attention to detail. Its the kind of stuff GM does in house that many outsidders never see. Keep doing this kind of work and GM will have a place for ya.

Everytime I see that car I like it even more. I think I might have some sort of break down if that car came into production. I would be so, so happy.

Hey, and even those ricers on the board were saying that they liked it! Now that's impressive!

If anyone at GM is reading this post, print a bunch of copies and leave them on the desks of all the big-wigs around, PLEASE
