Chris Horton's finished 5thgen concept in PH

It looks okthough the front end needs some more attention and smaller wheels but otherwise it's ok.http://www.popularhotrodding.com/fea...09phr_5camaro/

Talking I think we have a winner!

Check this out:
This Camaro On this car's platform I think that it could be very possible.

I think the design has improved greatly since his earlier ones.
Check out the trunk space! - I like

He did a beaurtiful job keeping with Camaro heritage, but not making it retro at the same time. this screams of Camaro to me.

Give me convertible option, a 6 speed, a V8 in the same color and Chevy has sold their first 5th Gen. I'm absolutely in love with that car design. I wasn’t a big retro advocate at first, but that looks impressive. Wow, I hope GM gives those styling cues a big consideration.

Thanks!

Hey guys, thanks for the support. This thread has been good to me thus far. Been having a crappy day and then came home to find my pics from PHR plastered up on some punk's webpage over at CarDomain.com. He was ripping into the pics and then encouraged people to make fun of it and insult me. I suppose the bad always comes packaged with the good. I have been trying to convince him that it was actually me that posted a reply to his guest book, but he refuses to believe it's me, the actual Kris Horton. Just a moron I suppose, but I have been trying to reason with him. I don't want him to like my design, but to at least stop trying to get people to hate me...

Once again, thank you for the kind words. Please let your opinions be heard! Go over to Popular Hot Rodding's website and shoot them an e-mail saying you like (or dislike it) and they will probably publish it in a future issue if it has some validity.

Here's the link to the article and e-mail address:

I think Kris did a great job! I would definitely by a fifth gen Camaro if it looked like his design.

Don't like it. Don't like retro. Could buy a 1st Gen if I wanted and have the real thing. Great effort though, I wouldn't mind seeing certain cues be used in a 5th Gen, not many though.

Another instance of Hunkins tapping Cz28.com talent for PHR (along with last month's article from GuionM).

There have been times during Johnny's tenure at GMHTP that I thought the issues were less than great, but I have to hand it to him so far at PHR because I think he's bringing a GMHTP feel (more late model stuff, higher tech) to it and that is giving us another legit publication that caters to our niche. So far I'm impressed!

Exactly. They're just jealous Kris.

I love the color choice btw!

While I'm still not sure I'm 100% in-love with the retro look, if the car GM finially develops as the Gen-V Camaro looks anything like this... I'LL BUY IT!

Not decided if I'd like to have a retro 5th, but this looks nice. I don't see much of a backseat though, if there even is one.

SEXY!!!!! WOW... Kris, forget about the loser haters... and don't even worry about it. There will always be some moron out there that will bring your mood down because he will never be able to appreciate what you can do. My advice to you -> use that as a motivational tool to create even better concepts. He can tell everyone to hate the design but no one will ever deny your capabilities with your designs. Surely your concepts will get you famous and even if people hate the design you know what.. don't worry, it is art and any attention is good attention. Excellent job on the work.
