Re: Chevy SS/Commodore VF Renderings
Its looking more and more like I will replace my current V6 G8 with this new car........I regret not getting the GT and with 420 HP, this VF is going to move!! I wonder if we'll see and even higher performance version after a couple of years?
My current G8 has been a wonderful car to drive and has been surprisingly good in cold conditions here in Canada.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this car revealed in the next few weeks!!

Looks like we'll see the VF next week. It will be revealed piece by piece here: https://buildthecommodore.com.au which will lead into a live streaming reveal. No exact date reported yet.

Re: Chevy SS/Commodore VF Renderings
I agree, I am hoping its some form a Gen V V8, but who knows what it will be. The G8 GXP was 415 hp with the LS3, so for the LS3 to gain 5 hp would be easy. But the benefits of Gen V in power, especially torque and MPG ratings should be a no brainer and make the car more appealing to the crowd this car is aimed at.

The front bumper and lower grill are all wrong but I like the overall look. The lower grill's trapezoid shape should be inverted and there will be a strip of LEDs on either side.

Re: Chevy SS/Commodore VF Renderings
While it's being called conservative for its styling the Chevy SS is actually a RHD Commodore SSV and thats the more aggressive/sport model to the Holden Calais.
IMO I think the Calais looks better because it has a more refined and premium look than the SSV and would make a better flagship Chevrolet sedan.

Re: Chevy SS/Commodore VF Renderings
I think it looks good, but at the same time I think it needs a little more spice. If it had the hood with the vents like that last rendering, that would have really set it off. Plus it would have tied it to ZL1 and the new Corvette Stingray.
I am really looking forward to seeing this car in person, because I think it will look better in person than in the photos. The G8 IMO didn't photograph well, but looks awesome in person. I am thinking the SS will be the same way.
I've been reading comments on facebook from the photos Car and Driver posted on their page and the SS is taking a beating, mostly from idiots though.
