Pretty cool considering the one in the magazine was computer generated by Hot Rod Magazine, and the car it was based on will be discontinued in about 24 months, and the company making it is already running at full tilt.

Are you sure you aren't talking about the 2008 or 2009 Monte Carlo replacement?

"The Dream Becomes Reality"
"In the April 04 CHP we showed youo a dream that began in the pagfes of hot rod magazine...your response was over wealming...the dream has now become a limited edition reality, according to tommy white owner of aloha automaotive services...asa is working with primedia in a history making merger of real retro muscle and modern high performance to bring you a limited production run dream car you can own...two versions are planned the HRSS with ls1 and the massic HRSS454 designed to deliver over 600hp...orders are being taken now...www.alohadreamcars.com"
as written in chevy high performance magazine june 2004
i don't know how to cite that correctly.

my note: the 454 does sound interesting, but i'm assuming that they will be charging wayyyyyy too much for it.
also, the pic on their web site itsn't the same as the one in the mag. from the looks of the article and site, i don't think they will be using the Chevelle name.
ok, found a pic http://chevyhiperformance.com/featur...148_0404_chev/

Gee, since it's an engine no longer in a production vehicle, I wonder how they are going to get it certified?

FWIW, Hot Rod (or Car Craft) wrote about an LS race block that was bored&stroked out to 452.5 cubes a while back. They called it a 454 in the write up. Perhaps that is what they are calling a 454.

only thing I can think of is that they are gunna buy a few GTO's, make there own nose and tail sections, and then drop a few built LSX engines in them. The price is gunna be high. I wouldnt be surprised to see 50k or more

Or import a few Chevy Luminas in from the Middle East.

Rebadge or Rebody???

I'm curious if they plan to rebadge a GTO and drop in a different motor or if they plan to fabricate a body. Seems like a pretty crazy goal to be on the Power Tour if they plan to build a whole new car. Isn't Power Tour in the summer? If it's just a GTO in disguise, that's a shame. Guess we'll see.
