From New york auto show!
From reading yesterdays ny times, and today on aol....
They have pics of the GTR, so it is NOT a photoshop, they have interior pics and such.
From the ny times they said soltice will have a chevy platform mate called sportster, and then a buick and a saab i believe.
The veelite is a turbo i6, producin 400 hp.
the mustang will have a gtr, the gt is 300 horse gt for 25k, and a 400hp SVT will be out as 2006 model, and have IRS. for 35k

To bad it isn't an I6. I hope everyone here has already seen the pics of the under hood and seen the HF 60° V6 in there. If not go to C&G or Gminsidenews. Both sites have the pictures up. By the way Pacer a V8 will fit Zeta with NO problem. I wouldn't be suprised to see some evidence in exterior of the future Chevy V8 sports coupe in the Chevy Sportster if it does show up, doubtfull we would have heard something about it from the insiders. The sporster may just be another Styling Exercise like the 99 Nomad and the SS concept were.

I am really hoping that the different divisions market complementary versions of Kappa as opposed to competing with each other. I really like the notion of a Pontiac convertible - Solstice, a Saturn 2+2 coupe - Curve and the Chevrolet sport wagon - Nomad. I thought this approach to niche marketing really had merit. I guess we'll see.

Did they say which SVT model would be out? We already know from Ford that the top end Cobra won't be out until June 2006 (2007MY).

Chevy doesn't need a Solstice vert. If They want Chevrolet to have a cheap convertable then they should speed up Camaro development. Or build a Cobalt convertable. The 4 seater Convertable market is bigger than the 2 seater.
