I have a question. Are you a student and presenting this in class or are you presenting this to GM? Just curious....

 

That GTO concept looks like a Camaro in sheeps clothing.

 

Very nice, I really like it alot. I think that car would look alot better then the new mustang does.

 

My favorite fifth gen so far! I really like the simalarity to the fourth gen. indicating a evolution [much like porsche has maintained i am a huge porsche car/design fan] from the previous generations not just a car with camaro on it or needless complete redesign.

 

You guys can stand there and squawk, babble, and ponder over it all you want. But I tell you this....I will be the first one in line.

 

nice concept its cool in that it has quite a few "camaro" cues, yet is not ugly, nor "retro" ( although i have nothing against that either)

To stir the pot a little -

Where are all the anti-retro critics out there? Since this design seems to borrow heavily from the fourth generation wouldn't it qualify as "retro"? Or is styling considered "retro" for a F5 Camaro when it comes from pre-F4 Camaros?

 

That's the best Camaro concept I've seen so far. Followed closely by the one posted on www.cardesignnews.com by Rimon Ghobrial.

I don't want retro; I want a car that makes me wonder why I'd lust for anything more expensive when a world class looking and performing car is available for $25~K.

 

That's the BEST 5th gen I've seen.

 

Retro does seem to stop at 3rd gen (to me 4th is purely 3rd gen evolved) for many ppl anything earlier and its I hate that. Even though 1st gens are the most popular among the masses.

This is my senior thesis project for industrial Design at Georgia Tech so I am just presenting to people in the college. Since auto design is all in-house, I couldn't really present this to GM, but that would be cool.

Anyway, thank you for all the positive comments. I have worked a great deal on this project and I am almost done. I also updated the "Camaro" font as well as a new "Z28" logo. Like I said, I also am building a 1/6 scale model that will be done this week so I will post the pics of that once it is finnished.
