The Big One GMAC Gone
Re: The Big One GMAC Gone
Let's say this, at least I am doing something. I have met with the top leaders of GM and have done my best to show then the errors of their ways. I've personally invested in excess of fifteen grand of my own money giving presentations and have attended meetings every year trying to make a difference. I have more support than you can imagine. The few insults tossed here mean nothing to me and I will carry on no matter what some naive bystanders think and say. Don't believe Buickman, your loss. Never underestimate the power of the individual. I've personally delivered over 13,000 units. So those pretenders who think they know the business, watch and learn. Think you're so smart, start a website and spend $15K trying to make a difference. Put YOUR money where your mouth is, I did.

Delusional is believing Wagoner has any other motive than shutting down UAW facilities and building overseas. BTW the fault in all this doesn't lie totally at the doorstep of mgt. Unions are to blame as well.

In Japan, they fall on their sword for any of these failures individually. When added together, the real question appears. Who is RESPONSIBLE? Hardly anyone questions the BOARD, even with over 75% of the company’s value GONE in five years. The answer is The Plan, which calls for virtually no investment, and will, in fact, serve to significantly reduce expenses. The specific steps are based upon decades of successful experience as America’s top Buick salesman (six times). Here are sample responses from dealers, Wall Street analysts, marketing research companies, GM employees and retirees, and the media:
“I can’t thank you enough for sending The Plan. It is clear and logical. Implementation would be relatively easy and I have little doubt—based on our customer surveys—that such a program would be effective.” Art Spinella, CNWMR
“Frankly, your twenty points could not have made any more sense.” Gitas Jamekis, John Crane Inc.
“Wow, Jim, this is amazing. Some of these ideas might just work, by God. And Mark LaNeve dismissed this? I have looked at the website, and there is a ton of interesting stuff in there.” Dan Neil, Los Angeles Times
“Everything makes perfect sense in its appropriateness and simplicity.” Ed Garsten, Detroit News
“So, the legend grows.” Ed Lapham, Automotive News
“I think you hit the nail on the head.” Ed Wright, GM Plant Manager, retired.
“It is a blessing to hear your thoughts about GM. Being a Nissan dealer, I have watched the company do a 180 turnaround because of vision and dynamic leadership.” Ben Keras
“You remind me a little of the legendary Ed Cole.” Robert Harless, Preferred Media
“First of all, let me say that I think you’re doing everyone a great service.” Jason Stoddard, Centric
“Jim, just read your plan to return GM to Greatness. It all makes sense but how do we get the brass at GM to pay attention?” David Bruckman, Clay Matthews Auto Group

Jim, got a few questions for you. How successful are you at promoting your plan with GM at this point? What about other shareholders?
What opportunities did you have to present the plan, and where do we (or you) stand on GM accepting or rejecting your ideas?
You firmly believe in your plan. What I would like to know is how GM views it. Thanks!
Re: The Big One GMAC Gone
GM rejects The Plan. For over five years I've met with Bill Lovejoy, John Smith, Gary Cowger, Greg Lau, Pete Gerosa, Brent Dewar, Mark LaNeve, John Larson, Mike DiGiovanni, and others. What is hard to understand is why they kept having me down to the Ren Cen only to do nothing. They refuse to even try one of the points. That's what led me to believe they are on a mission to eliminate NA production and existing franchises. Build them overseas and sell them on the net like DELL. If there aren't the grandfathered in franchises, who's to stop them? These aren't stupid people. They know exactly what Plan they are following. No one loses so much share so consistently. No one could be that sequentially stupid.
Shareholders love The Plan, so does almost anyone in the business who doesn't ride Wagoner's coattail. There must be a reason.

If you make enough noise and get enough media coverage I'm sure you'll sell plenty of books. Hey why stop at a book, I'm sure a movie deal would earn you some decent coin.
All the hype sure does sell but in the end it's just a few min of poor green lit video.
