Under $30,000? It better be waaay under 30K if it doesn't even have carpeting. Even if it has 395hp and 409lb-ft of torque.

Call me picky, but I still think of those LS1 powered ElCamino-like Holden Utes selling for about $20-23,000 in Austraila. At least they have carpeting.

$23K sounds a whole lot better than "under $30K"...doesn't it.

For $23K the rubber floor mats are a-ok....besides...I believe that trucks should be "hose outs".

Any other good news at SEMA. I saw that Caddy had a Truck there with a supercharged 6.0L motor making 500/500. What are your predictions for the regular cab SS given the go ahaed by SEMA's end?

Just a side note.

GM has just announced today it will release a Vortec HP3 8100 high performance crate engine in 2003.

Horsepower: 525 hp @ 5400rpm

Torque: 560 lbs-ft@ 4000rpm.

And it runs on 87 octane unleaded for you cheapskates.

Now, that's a truck engine!

How much more would the reg. cab Silverado SS cost with a big block?

WOW!

where is that dancing cotton ball when you need it!

If I had the money and skills, I'd be grabbing one right now

Does this include the computer and FI and all?

I can't wait to see what projects people put that engine in..

Personally, besides various early model cars and trucks, I'd like to see that put in a late model truck, late model corvette.. I dunno if youc an fit that under the cowl of a 4th gen camaro?
