Yikes, i'm late to this one.

My names Jeff Gagne' I'm married, an 18 year old step daughter. Yes my wife had her early. 3 dogs, a house in the suburbs. I'm not a full fledged mechanic by any means, i do like to work on my cars, doing all i can. I've owned many F-bodies through the years, and other GM vehicles. I work in the maintainance divison of Fairfax County. I'm more or less a 'low poster' as would explain my tardiness to this thread. I only have access to the puter at home, and thats a rarity sometimes. This is definetly one of my favorite sites to visit. Jason and Red Planet keep my hopes alive.

OK , Im in

Im 42, of german/swedish decent. Currently living in the Indianapolis suburb of Carmel most of the time. Divorced earlier this year after 14 years of togetherness. No kids. Very happy to be single. Considered a Granola. Dont drink, smoke, chew, eat fried foods etc except on special occasions. Look about 30 years old. Get hit on by all ages of chicks constantly. Did I mention I love being single??!!

My only F body right now is my 92 1LE Trans Am I ordered new. Next new car will prolly be a Mini Cooper.

Country born and raised. We raised all our own livestock and fruits and vegetables, and were raised to be totally self sufficient. Like Proud Pony I felled a lot of trees and chopped a lot of wood too. Pounded lots of nails too building barns and stalls and fences. Still have the 1953 Ford NAA Jubilee tractor that I learned how to drive at 7. Still work it regularly in the summer, never needed anything but oil changes and a tuneup every 10 years. I want a 53F100 so I have a Jubilee truck that way as well.

When I was a kid traveled the US going to quarter horse shows and rodeos during the summers. Rest of my family is still in the horse biz but I dont have a horse of my own anymore.

Even tho we were not rich and lived in the sticks with a dirt driveway, dad always had nice cars. 58 Impala convertible, 63 Split Window, 66 396 Chevelle, etc.

I learned to read by reading his old Hot Rods and Rod and Customs etc. Little half size magazines with yellowish green pages. I still have most issues, from 1956 or so onward. By the time I got to kindergarten I could read perfectly. I always took car magazines to school and read them inside my schoolbooks while I was in class. School was terribly boring to me. By the time I graduated HS I had had enough. Recently thought about going to college. Been traveling to campuses to check them out in my travels.

Done many things in the past, and lived many places. Traveled the South Pacific for a year as a solo backpacker. Ski instructor was the funnest job I ever had, and next on the fun meter was whitewater raft guide. Worked for 20 years in the Aerospace industry. Not fun, but interesting. Had a machinists and aerospace workers union card many years. Wish I had all my dues money back.

Currently own a small transport company, delivering new motorhomes, Ryder trucks, etc. I am never home anymore. I have always loved to drive, dont care what it is. I am happeist behind the wheel at sunset, in the west, on the old bits of Rt66 that are still out there.

Merry Christmas ya'all, and happy motoring.

Yur ol buddy

Reno

What kind of Ryder trucks do you deliver? Are they white or yellow? I work for Ryder, the commercial rental side of it. We have the white trucks. Ever delivered a truck to Tennessee? Heck, you may have brought me a truck before!

not to dig up old threads, but i figured i might as well...

I'm 21 years old, doing my day duties as a college student.
At night, I magically become Automotive Journalist extraordinaire.

I run GM-Trucks.com, GM-Cars.com, and SilveradoSS.com. I've worked with General Motors by covering Bragg-Smith, the 02 Camaro/Firebird Gathering, and working to launch the Silverado SS.
Pictures that I’ve taken will be used in the Dealer Kiosk for the Silverado SS, and I was the first non-gm person to ride in it, as well as take non GM pictures. I'm also working with Chevrolet to gauge customer reaction to possible pricing and options on future products. I also have heard through the grapevine that my "services" will be used in other various ways for new product launches in the near future. I have great relations with various lead designers and marketing personal.

In my spare time I tinker with my 95 Corvette (which was recently hit by a deer and sustained $11k in damage), and my brothers 97 Z28, and my fathers 00 Corvette Convertible. One of these days I’ll finally make Scott happy and buy a Camaro of my own.
I'm also an avid skier, and musician.

I also have the job of keeping my fingers crossed for the economy to turn around so Scott can get me a job at GM doing what I’m already doing (enthusiast relations).

I've owned 10 Camaros (all generations) since I was 18. I have 2 now (see sig).

Enjoy this site. I'm mostly an observer.

My name is Gus. 27 yrs old. Live in Fletcher, NC. I'm Greek. Was born in Greece and lived there for almost 9 years. Moved here with my parents & sister in 1984 when I was 8 and have been in or around Asheville NC general area ever since, which is in Western NC; the quieter part you never hear about; we're in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountains and away from of RTP, etc. I've been a GM enthusiast ever since I can remember. My main focus is Firebirds and specifically 3rd gens, but I like pretty much any GM product up till approximately the mid 90s, when they went into "catatonia" as one magazine put it. The new GTO is a new and welcome surprise which I'm really excited about. Currently I'm unemployed and single and looking for something new, either in the truck driving business or something else auto / transportation related. If I could get into this BMW Z4/X5 assembly plant just south of here, I'd be all over it but no luck as of yet. I also run the website http://www.82recaro.com i.e. http://ohok.com/82recaro which is about my near mint low mile 82 Trans Am special edition and those of others.

My name is Mark. I'm 29 years old. I have my own business. I specialize in stainless steel and aluminum trim polishing and restoration on 58-64 Chevrolets. Although I dont own a Camaro, I would like to someday. This site has some of the the best info on upcoming GM products. I currently drive a black 96 Impala SS. Between my father and I, we have two 64 Impalas, a 59, a 60, a 62 Bel Air HT, and a 67 Corvette coupe. I am helping one of my friends put together a 68 Camaro with a supercharged 427 17" wheels, and big brakes...should be fun!

I am 24 and I live in Evanston/Chicago. I love speed. I tend to build my cars with more of a steet flavor than all out race. I am a personal trainer for Bally and Do side clients as well. I work nights as a bouncer so I can go out and make money, not spend it. I mostly play with Chevys/GM but I do have a 1969 AMC AMX.

My Current car list.

2001 Camaro SS Turbo Terror
1994 Dodge Intrepid
1969 AMC AMX
2002 Corvette Z06

Old car List..
1999 C5 with a ARE built 396 on the CAN
1994 C4 Corvette with a 383 LPE conversion
plus lots of other import and domestic stuff

Me

Well you asked for it. Seriously though, its nice to who we are talking to, great idea! My name is Mike I'm 31 not married. Same girlfriend for 13 yrs., she has a 16 year old son who is into american muscle , thanx to me. We just got him a 71 Malibu to play around with. She enjoys cars too, and punishes the Kumho's on a regular basis. We own a house together, our 2nd one actually(long story). Its like we're married only without the paper. She really enjoys cars too. I am an all around gearhead - speedfreak. I had an uncle who used to build some awsome Chevys. Alot of 1st gens, Chevelles, V8 vegas. I never knew my father so he was the closest thing for me. Unfortunately , he took his life in 1979. He did leave me with a love of Camaros. Everyone said I'd grow out of it, but they still get my blood pumping. I always wanted a 68 Camaro, so when I was about 16, I bought 1 it was a little rough , but all I could afford at the time. I had that car for about 15 yrs. it was where I learned how to work on cars. I upgraded to disc brakes, after almost wetting myself several times with the drums. The last thing I did was I put in a Tremec 5-spd., but it was only in the car a couple of months, as I sold the car shortly after that. Minus the 355 that I built (TFS heads& roller rockers) and put The Tremec back in the box, and the engine on a stand. I am working on a 73 Z/28 4-spd., it needs alot less than the 68 did and its a Z so. I still miss it. I will get another 1 though, in due time. I now have a bright teal 94 Z/28 T-56 T-Top car(the replacement). I don't get all the bitchin' about these cars, I think they are awsome. That's why I got another 1. My original one was a med. patriot red 94Z A4 coupe which was wrecked by some 20 yr old non-driver. I did buy it back from the ins. co., so I could put the LT1 A4 in my 90 Silverado. I also have the Buell which has been modified with some carbon fibre, and a Powercommander, which is pretty cool, it plugs into my pc and allows me to re-tune the fuel injection. I have been dynoed at 86 rwhp&74rwtq. Needless to say it hauls ***. I don't like sports, but I am a hardcore car guy, and Bowtie fanatic.I also play some guitar. I have a quad (96 Yamaha Warrior). My G/F sometimes rolls her eyes at me, as cars are all I talk about. I've had a 78 Type LT, an 87 6cyl., An 86 T/A TPI 700R4 which I still have and need to get rid of cheep, any takers locally its pretty rough & burns oil. Hasn't run in a long time, and needs a rebuild. I guess thats about it, although I could prolly go on, as I have been know to ramble. Especially about cars, just ask my girlfriend!
