5th Gen forum meet and greet!
Hello. My name is Chuck Kulchar
Im 20 and Im a sophomre at the University of Dayton. My major is Computer Science, but I might double major in Finance or Accounting depending on how my business classes go next semester. I really want to work for GM, and I figure that would only help my chances. I wanna be a beancounter who loves cars!
Hobbies are soccer, nerding, golfing, and racing. Started drag racing when I was 17 and never looked back. I learned a lot about cars this year when I rebuilt my engine, it was a great expirence, even if Im going to be ironing out the bugs for another summer!

My name is Chris.
I am a United States Marine for almost 4 years now and I am currently stationed at Ft. Meade. I am originally from Cleveland, OH.
My dream job is to move back to the Cleveland area and open a speed shop with a drag out back. I loved Camaros since I first layed eyes on one and I have owned 3. The one I am now is my baby and I love her so. I am married with no kids. My wife really wants em but I still need a few more years to get my baby down in the 10's

OK, I'll break the mystery
I'm 38, originally from Monroeville Pennsylvania (redplanet knows where that is
) just outside of Pittsburgh.
I spent most all the 80s living in the Pacific (Navy): in Japan, Guam, & the Philippenes, and have visited Hong Kong, Hawaii, and the middle east enough to qualify for residency. Also actually spent almost a week in Vladivostok, USSR on a "goodwill visit" once.
Had enough of the Navy after Desert Storm (only 2 ships got hit by mines, and I was dumb enough to be on one of them). I went back to college to finish business admin degree (criminal justice minor), went into the Coast Guard and ended up living in Honolulu for 4 years, then lived in San Fran for 3, working closely with pretty much every law enforcement agency around the bay, including the CHP (became very good friends with the person then in charge of CHP transportation procurement and the TI SFPD contingent). I also got to know some of the Ford people up there at the time, and was invited to check out the new LS & Blackwood at Treasure Island couple of days before the press did.
(my Mint T-Bird SC helped...long story)
I now split my time between San Francisco, Long Beach, & San Diego (wife, main job, soon to be vacated homebase), and have been to Central America working drug ops 4 times in 2 years .
Currently in the final process of switching from my Federal Law enforcement gig, to local via Sheriff department in the Bay Area, or LAPD (whoever finishes background & makes an offer 1st). Also finishing up my package for permanent Australian residency, planning to eventually retire in the Gold Coast (you wouldn't believe how cheap houses are there!)
In my spare time I do freelance writing, once in a rare blue moon will do standup at the Comedy Store in Hollywood (amature night only), and have a very weird talent for being in the right place at the right time for meeting the right people at the wrong time, and as you may guess, I've met (over the years) and correspond with quite a few people in the auto industry as well
.
There's alot more, but if I told ya, I'd have to kill ya.

OK.....I'm somewhere between 45 years old and dead.
Some of you know me as "Scott" -- some of you know me as "The Fbodfather" ( name given to me by "Joey Red" and the Hudson Valley Camaro Club.....) And some of you know me as "that damn yankee from Detroit."
I'm a lucky guy. Grew up in a Chevy Dealership in Western Pennsylvania and have been nuts about Camaros since I first saw one in early September of 1966.
Been working for General Motors since 1977. How many Camaros have I had? Too many to count. Been working on the Camaro/Corvette Performance Car Team for the past several years. Recently moved over to assume some of the retail stuff that Jon Moss does. Also working with the Auto Shows group (don't miss Detroit or even better...Chicago......) and managing our partnerships with Performance Driving Schools. Live in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI -- travel nearly every weekend to Camaro/Firebird shows during the season...so I'm married to my job.
And I could not be prouder of a car called "Camaro"!

Good idea Branden.
Hey guys! My name is Stefan. I’m 19 and before I read this thread I thought I was one of the younger guys in here. I was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. Actually only 10 minutes from TCU, so I’m not too far from you Sixer-Bird. I’m currently a freshmen and a Mechanical Engineer Major at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. I don’t post all that often but I’m reading in this forum at least twice a day. I’m a huge car guy. When I’m back home from school, I always find myself working on a motor or something car-related with my best friend. I also used to be a huge football player back in high school and seriously considered playing college ball. However I decided to focus strictly on school and my dream of working in the auto industry. I want more than anything to do something similar to Red Planets Job. I will be apart of the Corvette/Camaro team one of these days. Ask any of my friends and they will all tell you I’m a total Camaro freak. I Love drag racing. I plan on buying a 4th gen Z28 this summer. I’m going to try to keep my 95’ V6 if I can afford to. Oh I’m also getting an internship through one of my friends dads this summer working on the assembly line at the Gm Arlington plant where they build SUV’s. I also ramble a lot in my post on here.

Hey guy's,
My name is Eddie and I'm from the fine city of Chicago.
(Northwest Side)
30 years old married with no children.
Just recently been assigned to the force and work midnights in the Albany Park District.
Lost my patience waiting for the 5th gen so I traded my 99 (see sig) on an 01 SS M6.
I have been a gearhead all my life.
In high school my Grandfather and I restored a 72 Plymouth Barracuda. Then I got cought up on the 5.0 craze, spent a few years playing with Stangs.
Now of course I'm into the F-body, and boy do I love 'em.

I'm WERM (sorry, I can't mix my net identity with my real life).
I'm an auto-interiors guy, working at a Tier 1 supplier. I spend much of my time as an engineer working on a program that Formula79 likes to bash.
I'm originally from Maryland (Oh how I miss thee) but came out to MI for "the whole car thing". Red Planet can probably identify with me when I say I've had a chance to see some REALLY neat things - but gosh it sucks not being able to talk about them.
I'm a gen x-er and I've owned 3 Mustangs, 1 Camaro and other 'duller' cars. I'm married, too.

I'm 31, been married 8 years and have 2 kids. I've had 2 Camaros, an 88 Iroc I traded in on my 93 Z. I sold the Z back in April. Hopefully by the time the 5th gen comes out I'll be in a place to buy my next Camaro. My real dream car is to get a clean 3rd gen and swap a LT1 and a 6 speed.
MY name is Kevin....
I am 30 years old, and I am getting married Aug 9th, 2003!
I am a Systems Analyst, or Computer Support Rep, or Network Administrator... (no clue what my actual title is) for a Long Term Health Care company in North Eastern Ohio. (Youngstown area)
I am a HUGE Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Steelers fan!
I have owned several cars over my driving career... the highlights being my 89 Black Camaro RS 5.0, my 95 Admiral Blue Metallic Corvette, and my 99 Bright Red Camaro Z28.
I currently own a 2002 White Monte Carlo SS.
I also think this is the best forum on the Internet!! 5th Gen Discussion on CamaroZ28.com is the best!

Well, I am the voice of anti-GTO sentiments.
My name is Dennis. I am 20 years old. I am in my 3rd year of mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan. I live in Dearborn Heights with my parents.
I came on to the 5th gen board after I seen the sea of people practically jumping for joy over the new GTO. I thought that I should counteract all of the pro-GTO posts.
In my spare time I play guitar in a local heavy metal band and lift weights frequently.

Hello old chums,
I'm Jason. I'm 21, and from Southern California. I work full time at Earthlink, which is among the larger internet providers. I spend my days dealing with DSL. Telcos and customers, loverly!
I bought my Camaro early last year on a whim. I was looking for a car to replace my old 98 Crown Vic that was totalled. I decided to test drive some sports cars, ya know, just for ****s and giggles. Being from an all Ford family, and driving 2 Fords before (a 1997 Thunderbird, and a 1998 Crown Vic) I went to the Ford lot first. I drove a 98 Mustang and was dejected at how gutless it was.
So on the way home, I stopped by the Chevy dealer. I was very impressed by how ballsy my 97 Z28 was, and I went back and bought it.
But I'm not really an old timey Chevy guy like most folks, in fact I'm more of a classic Ford guy. But a fast car is a fast car, so GM has my ownership for now. From the looks of things, not for long.
