Though V6s aren't my thing, 350 HP from 3.5Ls is equally impressive.
Also, I'm pretty sure a $50k price tag does not target your typical "ricer" crowd.

And btw...I never said it was better or worse than anything - I simply said it is impressive based on what it is supposed to produce.

Or, depending on how it's priced, its primary competition may be the GTR.
Re: 2008 Supra
that toyota motor is also a ohc motor, which toyota has been very good at extracting power of, more so than ford has with their attempts in the past. Also, the previous supra was 35-45 big ones for the tt model depending on the year and options.
Re: 2008 Supra
I bet you have to rev the snot out of that motor to make that power. Low torque, dohc small displacement motor...sounds like a rev queen. Its going to be a very refined smooth motor, I dont think it will dissappoint. I think some might actually prefer that kind of power, in contrast to the monster torque of the current Chevy small blocks. The Covette and Supra might go head to head in price and performance, but I think they are very very different cars. Im interested to see the C6 Z51 vs. Supra V8 comparos.

Re: 2008 Supra
that 65k was some serious dealer markup. Yes your right, toyota cut 10 grand off the price of the supra in 98 in a last ditch effort to sell more. also, I HIGHLY doubt the real car will look like that concept rendering, so until their are factory pics of the car i wouldnt pay any attention to the pics the mags are using.
