FWIW, I can fit 5 people in my 67 Camaros. And if I had the optional front split bench I could fit 6.

 

Oh, I agree completely. But the GTO has already morphed into a 2+2 TransAm replacement.....so really...what's the difference anymore?

 

I don't remember anyone asking for a Quad coupe Trans Am or replacment though either.

I think more than anything, the GTO should take on the G35 as a performance luxury coupe.

 

I don't know, maybe. The G35 coupe is lots smaller, has a more advanced suspension and substantially outsells the GTO though.

If the last GP GTP coupe were a RWD, that's what I'd imagine a modern GTO to be.

 

I still dont get why people say this. The GTO is American style performance. Big HP, Torque and even weight. The g35 is nothing like this. Its closer to a sports car or at least the Japanese version. If they decide to throw the endurance v8 in the g35, then I could understand the comparo. To me if they are going to try to compete in this segment, it should be with a buick or caddy, not a Pontiac.
