Maybe it was a bunch of disgruntled Ford fans that heavily disliked the retro style of the 05 and thought they were burning a car full of '05 Stangs.....only to find out they destroyed a bunch of classics

Seriously though, that does suck.

whoever did it isn't too smart. everyone knows trains don't catch on fire. especially the car transports.

A week is a long time for a boxcar like this to wait at a train station isn't it? You think maybe these cars were suppose to be somewhere else and there was a bomb in one set to explode at a classic car gathering or show somewhere?

Update: There was a bumper sticker found on the back of the boxcar that said: "Pinto On Board" heheheheh.

Wow. The one-liner has now done three-dimensional!!

I originally intended to imply that there were Pinto's on the boxcar and they caught on fire...

Then, I thought it could imply people torched it because Pinto's were on there...

Now, a good tie in to the Mustang... lol

(Waiting for Proud Pony to give me a nice uppercut here )

Nah! Proud Pony's a good guy! He usually has a nice comeback on a tongue-in-cheek jab at Ford!

20 cars valued at $1MM averages $50k a peice...
That means these were something special - not common Mustangs.

If we just lost that many Shelby GT350's, GT500KR's, Boss 429's, or some such as these - I think it's really tragic to the hobby.

I personally don't find anything amusing about it at all.

And I would have thought that those who come to this board and claim to love "musclecars" and "ponycars" would share my views to some degree.

Let's just say that I have readjusted my opinions about many who have posted in this thread.

The one's who have posted nothing at all are speaking the loudest right now.

Easy Tiger!

Just a Pinto joke... I doubt anyone is dancing in the streets because rare cars may have been destroyed!

I was kidding too there Proud. If only it could've been a car full of Insights and not some nice rare Stangs.
