Upgrading Suspension need advice

Hey all Im about to compete in my 2nd year of autocross starting this Feburary, i need to know what i should upgrade, because I still use the car as a Weekend Driver, and dont want to make the suspension too shift. Should I get springs, shocks or what? I was thinking of a Strut bar but not totally sure if that helps in Autocross. Aswell Im buying new tires and a set of rims, the rims Im lookin at are cheap salad shooters but need to know if those will be good for Autocross.

Thanks in advance for your help

Autocross....

Best thing to invest in is the driver. Go take an evolution school and learn from the best. It is very probable that you will be faster in a stock car after a good school than you will be after spending the same amount of money (as the school) on suspension parts. I'd stay in the stock class and learn the car. With that said....

If you are determined to buy parts, buy good shocks. Stay in the stock class and enjoy the amazing gains good shocks will make. I'd couple that with a good alignment and enjoy the results.

My thoughts.

Oh, and the salad shooters work well. The 17's will let you put more meat under the car (if class legal, stock class probably requires 16s, since the SS in a different class as I remember). Or, I've got a set of 1994 Trans Am wheels with no tires on them that I may part with.
