Windshield Cracked While Washing Car! grrr

that's why i rarely wash my car. it's been over 2 months since i've had the messicans at the local car wash place do it. i think it's worth the $20+ $7 tip to have them do it for me. they make it all pimp.
as for the broken windshield thing, i was driving my parent's Intrepid one day and some truck kicked up something that shattered the windshield. it was cheaper to pay for it than to go through insurance. it sucks seeing something fly through the air and then tag the hood and then shatter the windshield.
that's all i gotta say dammit.

sorry to hear about all you guy's cracked windshields!!! thats crazy! Its been said that when its hot outside and you are gonna wash the ride...you should roll the windows down for about 5 mins to let the interior cool down. Even if it was in the shade, if the interior was a little hot when you threw the cold water on, it could crack. my dad told me this stuff when i first started washin his truck for him when i was like 10 yrs old!

I wash my car once per week, sometimes twice. Figure 60 times per year @ $27 each = $1620
That's why I prefer a bucket and hose, and my friend's driveway!!!
About the windshields though---never spray them in direct sun, let them cool off or run the A/C through the defrost vents to cool it down first.
