Re: Vertical doors

INHO i don't really like the way these aftermaket ones look. It seems kind of cheesy when you have to open the door normaly and they push it up. To this day the only company that i have seen pull this off and make it operate/look correctly outside of Lamborghini is Kleemann.

No actually it's the best of both worlds, and from an engineering standpoint, absolutely necessary. Lamborghini's have the actual body designed around the function of the door: the fenders, door glass, and roof are all properly shaped to accomodate this function. Camaro's are not. There's no conceivable way to open a Camaro door straight up and forward like on an actual Lamborghini.

Besides, it's pretty obvious that the hinges on that Mercedes opened the doors outward to gain clearance for them to pivot forward without hitting the fenders anyway.

Re: Vertical doors

heres one problem to opening like that its a big one. DOOR PANEL. the top of the door panel is 2 wide so u have to open it 15-20% to clear it. I kinda like mine beacuse if its raining or if i dont feel like putting it up. I just open it normal
