Re: Sneak peek of what I'm working on{PICS}

It's been a few months but I've put my car on hold for now I've been busy with a few other cars... All I really need for my car is to install the engine harness, sounds simple enough but there's complications I don't even feel like explaining . So here are a couple pics of what else I've been working on..

I did manage to get some color on the custom air intake

I turned this...

Into this...

And made some custom sheet metal fuel rail covers for it

I also have the radiator sitting straight up and made a custom cover for that too I should have more pics up by this week or the next.

@ZEE soon as I pick up that 16gauge I'm makin some air dams. It's been a rough month but I managed to get some work done.
This is full interior color change plus a lil extra..

I should have taken before pics but this car had no back seats, falling headliner, filthy tan carpet and exposed wires this was just a minor makeover.

Just as a word from someone who learned the hard way? Use 18 gauge. 16 is heavy stuff, and unless you've got a pullmax, it's a bitch to work with. 18 is plenty stiff, unless you're making structural changes.

I made the mistake of picking up some 14 and needless to say I'm stuck with it but the 16 im gonna have to use it for somethin got any ideas? I have quite a bit of 20 gauge left I planned on making more fuel rail covers from those. I figured the 16 would be pretty thick I just can't think of anything else to make with it.

14 is like what you'd use for a radiator support, 16 is good for floorboards and such. It's hard to shape, I do know that much.

Try Speedy Metals Online Industrial Metal Supply --you can order 18 ga in small batches, and they'll send it via ups. I usually order 18in x 36in.

Re: Sneak peek of what I'm working on{PICS}

There's a place local that has pretty much all the material I need but me and zee worked out an agreement for the 16 gauge that's why I was lookin for ideas on what I could use it for so it doesn't just sit in my garage but I think I can maybe make some custom center consoles with it or just save it for some floorboards like you said, I have a few old schools lined up that may need new floors.
