Thanks, Jim! I thought it would be kinda neat to take pictures of the process. Some aren't familiar with what goes into doing a paint job like this so I thought it would be cool to do something like this!

Car looks awesome!! I have tossed the idea around of painting mine the same color, although I like the black roof and mirrors on mine, and would like to see what yours would look like with the black roof and mirrors. I may have to fool around in photoshop and see what happens.</font>
I think that would look good too. However, with my black SS hood vent and dark t-tops, I thought that would be just enough black to offset the black areas I did in the front. I too have always liked black mirrors and a black roof bar but thought, for some reason, with yellow it would look better body color. I'm happy that I did decide to have these areas painted yellow

Very nice looking car. Where is the rear ss emblem? You'll get a lot of looks in that thing.

</font>
Good eye Rear SS emblem and black rear CAMARO inserts got put on yesterday. I'll have some new pics shortly with everything done!

YES! Very glad. LOL! I've been driving my redneck truck for over a month now. hahhaa

Looks real nice Brent, I would love to see some pictures of it in the sun to really bring out the brightness. I know it's alot brighter than what the pictures show. At least on the vettes it is

</font>
Oh yeah I took those pictures late when the sun was going down. It is VERY bright. I'll get some better pictures very soon!

Awesome looking. Have you considered the black and silver SS emblems?

</font>
Thanks! Actually, I did consider those. There are two styles of SS emblems. Ones like mine and the Black/Silver. My buddy has a red SS and he has the Black/Silver. I did consider those but did not like them as much. I kinda like the little bit of red in the emblem when it is against the yellow. Looks kinda cool IMO!

simply AMAZING! at first i was a little skeptical of *cough* yellow but you definitely made the right choice.

oh and taht one pic of the TT 2s found a new home as my background! nice work brent!

</font>
LOL! Thanks! If the weather holds out, I'm going to take the car to a large cut field with pretty green grass and get some pictures of it there in the sun. If they come out good, I'm going to have one blown up to 20x30 and give it to the paint shop owner. When I get these pictures I'll post a couple of them and it'll be a much better background

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by SuprSpdDB7:
so overall .... how much did it cost you?</font>
It is hard to say how much the paint job cost me because I had "deer damage" fixed as well. That would probably cost around $4,000 if you were to take your 4th gen down there with no body damage. Just to repaint your car would cost between $2,000 and $3,000. Tack on an additional $1,000 to change the color. Tack on a little more for Yellow because it takes so much paint (5 gallons!) and is $300 a gallon. This shop is THE place to have a car painted around here if you are picky and want a good job. They are one of the more expensive shops, but, you do get what you pay for!

Thanks! I'm having a good time cruising. It is getting a few looks too. Not as many as the 94 but it's getting a few

Thanks all for the comments. It's been a fun project!

Hey Brent, I've been watching this thread since the beginning.
Great choice of color, it looks sweet!
The guys at that shop where you had it done definitely know what they're doing!
Kudos to them for a job well done, and kudos to you for an awesome Millenium Yellow SS!

I'm usually not a huge fan of yellow, but damn does the final product look sweet!

Much better than basic black imo.

Yep! I am excited! Check out the new pictures. they look pretty good. I'm going to have a 20x30 blow up made for the body shop owner. He has lots of pics of cars he has done in his shop but he doesn't have any "posters" LOL!

Thanks, Buddy! Yeah, for painting a car in a tin shed they really do know what they are doing. I'm very pleased with the final product.

Thanks! Yes, I do agree. I like change and I too was getting a bit bored with black. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE a nice black car BUT, given the chance, I decided to do something a little different. After all, the moderator of the Appearance Section shouldn't have a blah black car. LOL!

Thanks, Wraith! The car does look pretty good. I'm not disappointed with the way things turned out. Be sure to check out the recent pics I just posted!!!

LOL! I don't know. I told my buddy I might take it to the Super Chevy show in October and he basically said "Are you crazy? Take the 94! LOL!" Not sure which I'll take but I WILL take one of them to the Gainesville Florida Super Chevy Show. I don't expect to win anything (don't keep them clean enough!) but at least I'll get a good parking spot. hahahahha

Turned out pretty nice, Brent! I like the look, different yet not goofy-different if you know what I mean. Personally, I think it looks just right with the TTII's too!

So what color are you going with after the next deer?
