These new badges are fat, i would definetely shell out 40-80 bucks for a set. and then put the regular z badge on my air lid. I think its a unique design, and definetely not ricey. What is ricey? i think altezza's are, and those huge as$ spoilers, but at the same time, weve all already got the go...and now we need some show...

Grey plastic would be fine with me as long as they looked good. Preferably with the Z in different colors of course

I'm really interested! Keep up the good work!

I haven't heard anything from MBA currently but if they have to get GM approval then it won't be an overnight thing.

Also I'm going by a sign making shop today and I'll take him the link, see if he can come up with a few. Honestly I don't want a "sticker". I rather this be exactly like the Z06 badge but Z28 instead. But I'll see if he can hook me up or give me the name of someone who CAN hook me up. Honestly I say screw MBA b/c they are going to charge well over $100 for 1 badge anyway.

Pu12enrg,
I found a guy locally who can make these but he needs to know two things.

One-is the Z06 badge copyrighted by GM? He can be held under legal rights to not reproduce them if GM does have a copyright so he is only covering his @$$

Two-the original badge that you photoshopped all the other custom badges from, is it anyway you can do the custom badges again but save them under a better format then .jpg? If not then the badges can still be made but won't be that great of quality.

Anyway, he said it shouldn't be that expensive at all if we can get the two things I named up top taken care of.

Question

What about adding "Anniversary Edition" under the 28...for those of us with '97s? Just a thought...

Anyway, I'd be in for just the plain Z28 as well.

He wouldn't be reproducing the "Z06" badge, he would be creating a SIMILAR SHAPED badge. I honestly don't think it will be a issue even if GM has the trademark on "Z06" logo.. (they most likely do)

what image format does he prefer... I can do a photosop format or Paint Shop Pro if he prefers... ask him what is the ideal resolution... etc..

So he knows this is not just a vinyl graphic.. right ?

Well the shape and idea was from GM so technically they might have a chance at a legal issue. Also he just wanted a high quality format instead of jpg. If you can get anything high quality I can upload it to my website and then give him the link and let him do his magic.

No luck for me...

Sorry guys...
I went to the sign company yesterday, but they said they couldn't help...They did tell me that the closest thing they could think of was to get a company to make a mold up, etc...but he said that would probably be over $1000...so, maybe the guy that White Z is working with can come up with something...I tried...

Hey Paul, just had a thought...
There's quite a few members on here that cruise the 'Vette boards just to keep up with ideas, etc...maybe someone could go over there and ask around and get a response about the size of the Z06 emblems and the material?

Ok,

I found out the original GM Z06 emblems are plastic on the inside and plated with some type of metal on the outside.

I can get the originals for $12 /each and am working on a way to modify the "06" part

Nice job gentlemen. Definitely a unique and good idea. You might want to contact Mark at Afterthought Auto if you do run into more issues. Good luck.
