new place to mount gagues

new place to mount gagues

I just finished it up to night ill prob change it again. Put the ac in the glove box. All works well. The only problem i ran into was what to make the plate outta i made it outta plexi and backed it with bubble wrap. but i need somthing else that will let light thew but u cant see thew it. any idears are welcome

i think i would of left the AC controls there and got an Apillar pod.

very creative and cool effect, if I had that in my car I would use the same effect somewhere else so it didn't stick out so much. I like it, it's a great idea but I would do something with the AC controls!

creative... i think i would either paint that plexi piece black, or do somethin, i know u still wanna see the blue lights through it but... that bowling-ball lookin stuff just doesnt work too well IMO

I agree with the black background, good idea to put the guages where you did but the coolest looking mods are not the ones that stick out like a sore thumb, the best ones are the ones that look like they should have been a factory option.

Hey, the pod I made down below the radio is made of plexi glass and I wrapped it with Pleather (fake leather). It matches almost perfect with the dash.

How the heck do you read the guages at night? It seems that most of the light is coming from the backing plate.

very hard to read them its all gettin redone i ordered a can of the blackoutspray for it ill post pics when it gets done again

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that thought of mounting the guages there! Altough I never got around to it. I had purchased the controls out of a 97+ car and was going to figure out some sort of housing for under the radio area. Well I guess now I now they'll fit
