Yeah i dont know why people on here cant be civil. I go by the "if you dont have anything nice to say dont say it at all." CZ28 is usually a nice community, but when people start bashing each other and stuff it makes me rethink that.

Its mainly a respect thing. Its his car so he can do what he wants to it. Dont bash him. If you dont like something maybe word it nicely like "i like these, but i would do these differently." Simple as that.

Anyways you did a good job on the door kit. I know i dont have the skills to do that, so props to you. I think it would look better though with different wheels also, but hey, its your car. You do what you want to yours, and ill do what i want to mine.

Re: Lambo door install pics

so how do they actually operate?

as in do you need alot of initial effort to open and push the doors up? Is the mechanism one smooth motion? Does it ever feel awkward, opening or closing it from the inside or out? I'm trying to imagine how it'll actually be.

Any drawbacks?

I like the idea of these types of doors on the Camaro's.. IMO, with the being so long, it kinda makes sense.. Although I'm still not convinced any of them will be as reliable as stock. Those are some big heavy doors to be swinging around like that..

Re: Lambo door install pics

I only have two problems with your car:
1) Those horrible gangsta wheels
2) The fact that its a SOM SS
Other than that you did a pretty bad *** job on those doors, looks like it took alot of time and patience have fun with it.

Re: Lambo door install pics

that;s pretty cool dude, nice work though.! I just hope you got the good stuff from those guys, cuz a friend of mine did that to his 2002 Maxima and after 5-6 months the hinges started getting shot and the doors started rubbing the fenders when you opened and closed them, it was a big mess between the custom paint he had done and between autoloc paying for any kind of damages and what not, then he just had them fixed the stock way.

Must say, good work though, i always appreciate people who take their time and do good welding, instead of some people who don't take time and the welding looks like bird-doodie.

As I like to say "to each their own".

I see a lot of LS1 body style cars getting "ricy" same wing, same tail lights, 20 inch wheels. Now lambo doors.... why not get an import? Most import owners if not all that I know laugh at people that do that to domestics.....

all well
