dont get me wrong, im sure paul walker would LOVE it..
I've got plenty of pride... in my own car. No one said you have to buy parts out of a catalog, IE the custom work he did with his lambo door and the custom work I've done to.. well... my exterior and interior. I've never even heard of Unique Whips, but I believe in having a unique ride. I'd rather have people say "I saw you driving yesterday!" than people say "I saw a car that looked like yours, but then i realized it was just some other Camaro.." There's no mistaking my car, and that's what counts.

Haha, right but yet you're the one that has to fall back on the fact that mine's a v6. Thanks, but until you ever put as much work into your car as I've put into mine, or thread's author put into his, you need to step down and not talk so much smack about other people's cars. It's easy to sit back while people go out on a limb and do what THEY like to THEIR OWN car while you sit there being a little keyboard warrior bashing everyone's work. Did I ever say that people can't have their own taste and like their own stuff? Nope, definitely not. If you don't like something that someone does, great, keep it to yourself if they aren't asking for your opinions, IE this thread, or state it in a mature way if they do ask for opinions, don't be immature about it. That's when other people come in, IE this thread THREE SEPERATE TIMES and THREE SEPERATE PEOPLE, and point out what an *** your being. Way to contribute to the forum, buddy.

Hot rods, Muscle cars, and Drag racing are all different things.

Hot rods are a specific design of custom automobiles... just like low riders, Muscle cars are straight out of Detroit, and Drag Racing started any where there was a flat strip. Now maybe California was the first to make a legal drag strip possibly, But street/drag racing is old as dirt.

Re: Lambo door install pics

The 1960s saw the advent of muscle cars, Detroit's bid at performance hot rodding in the form of plain-looking automobiles stuffed with huge-displacement engines like the Chevy 396, 409 and 427; the Ford 390 and 427; and the Chrysler 440 and 426 hemi, so-nicknamed for its racing-engineered hemispherical combustion chambers. Later in the decade came smaller pony cars—Mustangs and Camaros—which arrived only to face the challenges of the early 70s gas shortages when the doubling of prices at the pump opened the door to a wave of upstart econoboxes (and Volkswagen bugs) from Japan and Europe. The primacy of the V8 ended then, and the golden era of traditional hot rodding and customizing was over. But was the pastime really dead?

THat's also highly inaccurate. The engines Chevrolet and ford started stuffing into thier cars had nothing to do with hot rodding. It was stricly about a little event called.... "stock car racing" And that's what gave life into the muscle car era. Your information is really kinda misconstrued here.

Re: Lambo door install pics

Glancing down this page I realized how some people can really bash other peoples car's. I really believe this forum is for moral support if you dont like something on the other guys car there is a tasteful way to say it. Just say its not my thing but good job. He really did a quality job on his doors yet all anyone can do is say its a ricer. Well it is his car and he can do whatever he wants. I really think the car turned out tastefully done and unique i bet he will drop more than one jaw when he raises the door up to get out at the mall or something. How many of us can say that by just opening the doors? Now while lambo doors dont trip my trigger I still have to give this guy props for doing something different and showing the community how he did it. There are plenty of people interested in doing this swap and he is one of the first (and guaging from most of the responses to be brave enough) to post pictures and give a little insight into what goes into an install like this. I say good job for taking the time to make your ride the way you want it. Keep up the good work because if somebody didnt try half the products out there first none of us would buy them.

Berly
