Since I just got in an accident last night, my car has to go to the body shop. While its in there, Im gonna get a total repaint. Im gonna stay with white because I like having a white car, but I want to do something different than most. I was thinking of doing it like an off white cream sort of pearl color, like what you would see on ad Escalade EXT (if you guys have seen them that color). Anyways, thats the best I can describe it. Let me know what you guys think, and if you can think of another shade of white that would look better let me know.

 

There was a *cough* honda civic *cough* all white with glass shards in the paint. It look great. Im wanting to do the same when I get repainted. Sorry I dont have any pics.

 

Maybe a LIGHT pearl base would look pretty good? I would say just do the whole car and be really different, but I think it's still the most expensive paint out there today...But I have seen a few cars that have done it, and it gives them a non-exaggerated pearl effect...just a thought.

 

"Artic White" WITH "Sliver Pearl" over it or any other color Pearl. I myself am doing my stock "Artic White" and putting "Navy Blue Ghost Flames"

 

I think a pearl color would look very nice...but flames are always cool too

 

How much extra would it cost to add pearl to the paint??? Like if I were to get a repaint for 2000, how much more would the pearl tack on?

 

I would add a fade..... Kandy faded customs ALWAYS win shows.

Or even Fade/+ 3D Ghost Flames

Personally on a white car, I would do Silver flames with a hint of blue.

 

They should Paint the base color White then put the pearl on top of that, then the clear.

Shouldn't be much more on the cost maybe a little more that the cost of the paint that you are adding.

 

It shouldn't cost that much more to pearl it. It's about another hour and about 40$ worth of pearl. If they tell you different they're full of the brown stuff.

 

Is that really all thats needed?? Scwheet! I know aguy who has a civic with blue pearl and it looks awesome, but if im gonna go with pearl, it'll be red pearl since red and white is the theme i have going. I just got an image of it in my head...

 

I've seen arctic white with silver pearl in person (sorry no pics)... it really is a nice look.

 

I kind of like the white on the new 3rd gen eclipses. It's called Dover White, I think, kind of an offwhite cream color

 

I've seen alot more luxo cars with pearl paint jobs lately, mostly cadilacs. While looking at them, the pearl paint jobs seem not to be as shiny as artic white or even regular white. I was thinking of doing he same, but then realized pearl wasn't for me, even thow pearl is nice.
