Fitting 2002 WS6 rims on a 94 TA?

I've heard that the center hole of LS1 rims needs to be bored out to fit LT1 rear ends.

Is this true? Or does it just bolt right up?

I wouldn't doubt it...
We put my buddies '99 T/A wheels on my '94 'maro and we had to wrestle them on. I know it was very tight, but we just pulled the lug nuts up tight and all was fine. So I see why some would say boring is necessary.

Definately true. I put a set of 2000 model WS6's on my old '95 TA, and the fronts went on smooth as silk, but the rears just wouldnt work. Had to bore them out, it doesnt take much at all, but it does need to be done. I suggest doing all for wheels at the same time (unlike I did) to save you the hassle when it comes time to rotate the tires. Later!

Joe.

How much boring is necessary? And did you just use a grinding bit on a dremel?

This won't affect the rims balance would it?

i've got the newer style ws6 wheels on my 94 and i think they went on w/o a problems(i didn't put them on myself but the place didn't mention anything to me). my car has drums in the rear so i'm not sure it that will make any difference.
