Question Speed Automotive Still In Buisness?

Tried calling speed automotive at 1-800-368-0116 and got a recorded message saying my area code could possibly be blocked. Also tried thier website phone 423-614-8888 and it has been "tempoarily disconnected". Any one have any idea what's going on? I'd like to talk to them. Thanks in advance.

They have several auctions going on ebay. I've even tried asking a question through ebay with no response!

I used to think SpeedAutomotive was a company on top of things. I'd heard many good comments from people on their deals etc etc.

I emailed them about an LT1/T56 swap out of a '95 TA w/ just 48K miles. It took them close to a week to get back with me after asking them if they had any other swaps available... the gentlemen that emailed me said he didn't have any other avail. but would let me have that one for a damn good deal.

I then responded and asked about rear ends they had for sale along with how much shipping would run roughly on everything since I live approx. 4 1/2 hours from there and would drive to pick up if shipping was high. It took them another week to get back with me and even then they didn't answer my question. He gave me the pricing and shipping on just the 10bolt and the T56 lol. It was definately frustrating not being able to get a hold of them even by phone. But to my surprise browsing E-bay with in 2 days of my last email I saw the T56 swap that I was wanting to buy listed. Seems as though he didn't really care that I wanted the thing? I had cash in hand and was really looking to buy the complete LT1/T56.

Something else I noticed is that they started up a new E-bay account... with their previous account they started to receive a couple of negative feedbacks for various things. I found that quite odd.

They are still in business...I live just about 25 minutes away from them, and have got some stuff from them in the past couple of months. They are extremely hard to get ahold of though sometimes. I called Scott @ 423-614-8888 just shy of a month ago probably and it still worked, but that could have changed by now. Since I have been dealing with them, it has always been kind of a pain to keep good contact with them. I wouldn't even try to e-mail him, seeing as how the phone calls rarely get returned. Scott kind of plays favorites as well I do believe. If you aren't his friend, then don't expect excellent service. If I talk to him anytime soon, and I will tell my buddies too (they talk with them more than I do) I will make mention that they are losing customers due to service. - if he cares...

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one wondering here. Guess I'll just keep trying e-mail.

I ordered some things from them last friday, including LS1 brakes and a newer style console. The guy I talked to on the phone seemed pretty cool, and my stuff shipped this last tuesday just like he said it would. Got here yesterday and the stuff was in great condition. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They even gave me $25 off of the brakes.
