I would love to find a fuel door that looks stock with a locking mechanism. I wouldn't imagine it would be too hard to fab up one. My friends 8x built trans am has a locking fuel door and its just a great feature imo.

If you want one that locks, you might want to look into one off a sport bike. The ones on the honda(i know its a honda)600 CBR is pretty close to the same size if I remember right.

It will take some modification to make it work, but I think it could be done.

i THINK iT'LL LOOK HOT. It might even look good if you do the door in black and leave teh outside silver/polished.

Why would you want to draw attention to your gas tank?

I'll be buying mine today or tommorow. I'm leaning towards a billet one like the 2nd pic on the 1st page. Thats not much too modify from an ecplise. But I might break down and go nopi.

The more I see these...the more I like them. Especially on a black car, but they seem to work painted or unpainted on other colors as well. I have a white Z w/ black t-tops & mirrors, and i'm not sure if a billet or polished fuel door would look quite right...maybe if i painted it gunmetal...??? What do you guys think?? I'd really like to get one of those automatic ones that opens with a switch from inside the car from www.fueldoors.com...but that ish is expensive.

I agree about some things looking like rice, Alteezas come to mind, but they put these fuel doors on new mustangs, and I do believe that Vipers have a aluminum fuel door. I guess Vipers are rice. I think the fuel door looks fine on a Camaro.
exactly..rice this rice that...you guys kill me in what you think is rice...everything is rice to you guys! what gives..man you gotta chill, that fuel door is not rice its just something that someone might do to their car..is it a nawss stickers or tacky spoiler on a family sedan? no so its not rice...jesshhhhh

if you dont like it you label it rice...

I think I got yall figured out!!!

YOUR rice definitions:

1) Altezzas- but you guys get em
2) Lambo doors- If ya cant afford it, you hate
3) dubz on an f-body- you are stuck in the world of 17'z, time to upgrade it's 2004!!!!
4) body mods- wont try it on your own car, so you hate on it
5) fuel doors - cant figure that one out

MY definitions of rice:

1) Altezzas- only because "to me" they dont look right unless they are gunmetal or C/F, but I still dont hate
2) Autozone floor mats and acc.- it shows either you dont know where to find good interior pieces or just wanted something quick to match your neons
3)Anything made buy APC- why? cause they are the biggest ricer company out there (another autozone favorite)
4) Roll calls- If your gonna rock roll calls on a chevy, please let it be Edelbrock, Holley, BBK, Mac, rk sport etc.... NOT APC, Greddy, HKS (which works for no chevy), and the rest of the mods that were not made for chevy.

just my .02 but yall know I'm right, there is a difference in being different and just jumping on the bandwagon so your car gets noticed with cheap 2 minute mods.
