you guys all crack me up. Every time anyone posts on this board about anything that is not the norm, i.e. TT2,s ZR1 wheels, SS spoiler, etc., you all label it rice. I agree about some things looking like rice, Alteezas come to mind, but they put these fuel doors on new mustangs, and I do believe that Vipers have a aluminum fuel door. I guess Vipers are rice. I think the fuel door looks fine on a Camaro.

THe problem I have with the fuel doors is that they have to much outline... I wish the outline aluminum is a lot smaller and the door a lot bigger...

Morons.....

Thank you! You have to add DETAIL to you car to make it stand out or you look like ever Camaro around because Camaro are just like bellybuttons...everyone has one. I get compliments all the time on my car even from old heads (well Im almost there 28).I just have a few things that stand out wheels, chrome altezzas, and orange painted calipers and rotors. Thats it and they all say it looks different from all the camaros they saw on the street of course (I not show ready at all) I get most of the compliments on the calipers and taillights.

I agree its fugly on the pewter camaro because he doesnt have enough detail to the car. Rims would be a start. Some nice polished Zr1s would make it killer and lower it. Now when you go with the big a$$ wing, powder coated rims, decals, altezzas (well I have those too but dont look rice to me) with the door that smells rice. But Detail is all it is. Just a touch of detail. I want one but the price is high for just a fuel door. I got drop springs for the price of that. But I will get one soon as I win big in poker again

There is a guy here in Waco with one of the chrome electric fuel doors on a pearl white Escalade and it looks cool as hell.

On a personal note I don't think the are rice at all.Like said above it is just another detail for the car.

Here, here!!!!

I like them alot. i have been looking for some on both of my camaros. I cant even figure out why some of you dont like them. They were inspired by racing teams and ARE on Vipers and stangs, you have to have complimenting the door though. Chrome fuel door=chrome rims (yea i said rims!) or gunmeta, carbon fiber etc.. has to go with something else on the car. Would you put on red shoes with a black suit? If you would you need to log onto the interactive therapy board lol!!

I already know where mine are coming from (nopi) and this is why it wont look rice:
1) chrome 20 inch Lowenharts
2) chrome rear "camaro" decals
3) chrome caliper decals
4) chrome racing pedals
5) chrome door sills
6) chrome gauge bezel

Ya see a theme here? BTW the factory gas door on 3rd and 4th gen's are 6 inchers, the closest nopi has is 5.87, but I might go with a chrome eclipse conversion. Anywayz out of all the threads that have been hated on this one does'nt derserve it. Some times you guys b**** just be b******. Altezzas are the biggest example of rice (altezza comes form the japanese version of the Lexus IS) out there now, but dudes keep getting them. Know why? cause to each his own, one mans garbage is another mans artwok, and we live in america. Nobody is forcing you not to do it lol!!! Peer pressure has stunted alot of talented people from getting further in whatever they are doing

Just a thought but there was a Mustang that had that as an opion from the factory. I don't beleive a Mustang is considered rice.
They're not as nice as our cars but they're not rice either.

I would also like an aftermarket fuel door but want one that is locking. I searched for a locking eclipse door but could not find one. Has anyone put a locking door on their 4th gen?.
