Need Info on Carbed SBC CONVERSION!!!
I'm in the process of putting a Carbed 383 in my 95 T/A. I can't seem to find much info on the conversion process and was hoping that someone on here has done this or can hook me up with someone online that has.
I'm trying to figure out what parts of the wiring harness I need to keep for my headlights, tail lights, dash lights, etc. And also wondering if there is iany other fab. work that will have to be done.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Matt

What exactly is "The Motor Part?"
I've already got the BMR K-member for SBC conversion.. I don't know what year the block itself is, but it was an original flat tappet block and its solid roller now..

im guessing the gen 1 sbc then...
from my past experiences when i converted my monte carlo from computer controlled carb to holley i just basically remover any wire that wouldnt require it to run (everything but the starter wires and distributor +) and then got a wiring diagram and got the gauges hooked up and basically cut everything else out. generally the engine harness and the body harness are sort of seperated. i dont know if this was any help but i hope i was of some assistance...

I believe SStroker Ace is telling ya that he knows how to get the engine in there and running. That is the part he knows, not the wiring part for the lights, etc. Thus, he can explain "The Motor Part," about the motor part.

Nuttin' wrong w/ my math. If I take off my shoes I can count up to 11!
And no high line stuff is going on my "Jeep" engine. It is just there to power the car until the Dominion engine is done. Which means it will be in there for the next 53.5 years.
