DBW throttle pedal?

I’m trying to mount up a Chevy truck DBW pedal into my 97 Camaro, it’s what I’ve got, and no I can’t afford to go back to a cable driven system, so I need help. I’ve fabbed up the pedal so the length is right, but I have no idea how to mount it into the car. Any ideas or tips?

Re: DBW throttle pedal?

You really need a signature. That way people would know that you are trying to control the electronically operated throttle body on a 5.3L LSx engine. At least that's what I am assuming based on going back to your previous posts. I know a signature with a phone is a problem, so if you aren’t going to set one up, you need to include basic info about your car, so people don’t spend a lot of time trying to figure out what you are attempting to do, and why.

The 99 and up F-Body 3.8L V6’s have an electronically operated TB. Not suggesting that you could have possibly used one of those “gas pedal” assemblies, but it might be worth taking a look at the 1999 or later factory service manual to see how that one was installed. Free download:

Lacking that, it might help to post a photo of the part(s) you are trying to mount.
