Don't worry about it Cheston. I'm not upset with you. And like Fred said, I'm sure it was a fairly interesting thread to spy on.

There is also another set of heads out there that I am anxious to see what they do, they are also on our bottom end again with the same smaller cam. I will keep you all posted about that engine as well.
Hey guys, Is that Me?

The final tune and dyno should be tomorrow. If she makes 530, that will put me at about 450 rwhp (6sp).

I can't wait to whip some LS1 butt!

Ugh, not this thread again.

Jim, please let us know what your car makes on the dyno tomorrow. I hope you get all the problems you had today resolved. Let me know if you need any help.

Got the dyno number today. 410 rwhp.

I don't know the rwtq number.

I'm picking the car up tomorrow to drive for a week or two, than send it back in for some more tweaking.

Ouch!! AFR 220's, 383 and only 410RWHP? How mild did they tune it for the break in?

AFR in the 330s titanium valves.. etc etc etc.. hm.. im not sure.. something is wrong there. Either they are not revving the car... or the tune is completely way off... got any afr numbers?

410 is a LOT less than what the lsx engines get with a heads and cam packages.

ls1 can get 410 with JUST a cam and stock heads........bastards!

theyre already up to 480rwhp with heads/cam in street trim on stock bottom end.

Yes I am thinking of your engine...

OOPS

Anyways... with 330CFM heads shouldn't you get to 470+ RWHP with a 383???

The LSx engines are already near the 500rwhp mark and 10.7 in the 1/4

Guys, I have a DFI 7, if the A/F is right on and the car idles and drives good, could there possibly be 70-80 rwhp left in the tune.

I wouldn't think so.

If the heads are up to the task and everything.. there could be 50rwhp...

remember its not only afr that has to be done correctly.. I have gotten 29 rwhp out of pcmforless tunes and 20+ over hypertechs...

with 330cfm heads I would expect more...

Heck I am expecting 410s with race ready AFR 210 out of the box... and nothing fancy...

330cfms in a 383 should mean 500rwhp if you multiply x 1.8 the cfms and then x .85 for drivetrain loss...

Is your an A4? do you have a converter??? that can explain the numbers but will sure perform at the track.
