Im not sure if this is a re-post or if it even belongs in advanced tech. But i guess break in is a part of engine building.

Interesting Indeed. I'm getting ready to fire up mine so I'm curious to hear some the of the veterans Machinist / Builders chime in?? (mdacton no disrespect here intended at all. I firmly agree with your approach as a matter of fact!!)
My biggest question is about the ring pressure he mentioned. Does increase throttle apply outward pressure on the rings??

Me too, in general terms. A little different for a flat tapppet cam and I do run it at ~2,000rpm until fully warm while looking for leaks, checking the timing, etc. Let it cool, take a good look and make sure it's good, check the valve adjustment, change the oil and THEN beat the **** out of it
