BBC compresion heigth question

I am building a Big Block Chevy and need a piston with a comp heigth of 1.235. I found that JE makes a piston with a comp heigth of 1.245. Can i use this piston with a .041 felpro gasket or is the .01 going to give me clearance problems. Fwiw i am running open chamber Dart Pro 1s so i dont think piston to head clearance will be an issue (until we get into domes, lol) Thanks Prorac1

I've got no idea if you will have piston to valve clearance problems, but other than raising the CR, a deck height of +0.01" is ok. This is not uncommon. Some people feel that a small positive deck is beneficial due to a lower volume of combustion end product gaskets left in the cylinder. I don't know if this is valid, but I have heard it discussed.

Thank you very much for the response. My major concern was weather or not having a positive deck heigth would pose any major problems, and it sounds like that wont be a problem. Thanks Prorac1
