anyone make LT1 style TB adapters for the single plane conversion?
Re: anyone make LT1 style TB adapters for the single plane conversion?
Ryan,
lol thats one way to get a new plate for the front of the TB!
I just made one out of aluminum stock for a monoblade.
The Sulivan deal is really tight where the TB and throttle cable brackets go and the front fuel lines that connect the fuel rails. I have to play with this a little more but I should have it figured out really soon.
Plus you know my modified stuff has to look well unmodified when it's all done.

Bret,
When you get this whole throttle body adapter fiasco conquered, I'd like to purchase a complete single plain unit for a LT4. Super Vic, adapter, fuel rails and lines... the whole shabang. Money is set aside, just waiting for your PM to pull the trigger.

I'm not sure you will ever see a bolt on kit for something like this as the setups that its going to go in are each going to need something different. It may seem like a simple bolt on but don't expect to aquire this and put it on over the course of a Saturday afternoon.
FYI...Cylinder heads need to be modified to do this the right way. The stock LTx intake bolt locations/angles do not fit in the center two on the Super Vic because the runner gets too close to even get a bolt into the location that the hole would need to be. Anyone that works in a machine shop should have no problem with the simple things that need to be done to accomplish this, but for those without the access/knowledge to do so might be in for a surprising machine shop bill.

Atljar......... I gave up on the tip in part throttle tuning. Mine is like yours.......only about 70kpa at idle which makes it hard to tune in speed density mode. I have the FAST XFI now so we will see how that goes.
Good thread! Lots of nice info!

My situation ran into a brick wall. I have the parts necessary for an adaptor. All it needs is a drill press and some welding. I'll send it to anyone that wants it for 50 bucks

You did it out of steel? I'd do that out of aluminum. Your also going to have to mill both flanges flat (and parallel would help) once it's all welded up.

. Aluminum would be great, but just added expense. Mill both side? Nahhh, slap some RTV on it and rock it. No point to make it harder that it is, IMO. That transition tube was about 30 bucks from Dr. gas. You can make it pretty if you want, but I was trying to just make it easy and functional. We'll never know. Oh, the suspense!

I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. My -6 fuel lines are almost done and the intake is on the block. I need to get one more wiring harness adaptor and finish bolting everything up, but I am hoping to start it up late this week or early the next.

Waiting on a sump to be welded to my stock fuel tank and need to install new fuel system. FAST XFI is installed and ready. Just a few little nick nacks now to finish up.
Re: anyone make LT1 style TB adapters for the single plane conversion?
Mine finally has the SR roller in it and running. I need to get off my lazy **** and switch to OBD2 so I can tune/rev it and finally race. Its only been, eh, 2 years since I have seen the track
