Sound like tranny trouble to me. one of my RS's is doing the same. Can you find one speed while cruising where the tranny goes hunting? like constantly shifting up and down?

Are you in overdrive when it does this? Do you have a high stall converter? If you do, it may just be your converter slipping below your stall speed - mine doesnt accellarate too well in overdrive with part throttle, n downshifts into 3rd with wide open throttle - but if its definately going into neutral, u have tranny troubles, may be time for a rebuild.

Exclamation

If your tranny is broke, don't rebuild it, 700r4's are mediocre at best, find a 200, and build it. much better tranny!

Nothing wrong with 700R4's, 518 ft lbs of torque goin through mine (392 ft lbs on motor) every single day n it holds up fine, friend of mine has beat the crap outta his 700R4 for a year now, nitrous n everything, he screwed up the converter and broke the governor gear so tore the tranny down, everything looks like new.
