I have a 92 RS with a 350 TPI and a 700R4 in it, what tranny cooler do I get for it? My options are

12 X 7 1/2 X 3/4

15 1/2 X 10 X 3/4

Just want to make sure which ever one I get fits

I'd go for the larger of the 2 if I could stuff it in.

 

Usually, the cooler is rated by the gross vehicle weight the cooler can handle. I find that my 12,000 lb. gvw cooler is quite sufficient for the 86 Camaro.

 

That's probably more cooler than you need. The 12x7 will be plenty (unless you like to tow your Camaro to the track with your other Camaro) and the larger one will just obstruct airflow to the radiator.

 

I use a small one on my IROC cuz it was free, but as long as you have that air dam in tact under the radiator, you can run the big one, especially if you wanna run a higher stall converter - number 1 failure for tranny's is heat.
