The previous owner of this 88 IROC Z (5.7 TPI) had re-spliced the connector for the MAF sensor and it looks like he/they may have wired it incorrectly (engine runs rich and stutters - disconnected it seems to run better - various other codes etc).

Anyway, Can someone snap me a picture of their connector so I can verify that the colours match up? Or list the colours from left to right.

i have an 87 and the wires are dirty,and most of them are covered w/ electrical tape but heres what i can see,colors might be slightly off due to dirt...

red,blue,green,black,black w/ white stripe

thats w/ the clip facing up,from left to right.

I checked and the wire colours match up to what you gave me - so that was not the problem.

I will be taking it over to a friends place this week so we can monitor the values of the sensors while the engine is running. Hope it will reveal the problem.
