Planning on dumping the computer on my car...what is the reccommended distributor for this application?

you'd want an HEI distributor then. Summit and jegs both have vacuum advance distributors under their house brand for $99-150, or if you'd like a full MSD setup they are $450-500 but probably won't make a stock motor any quicker at all.

 

I got my mallory hei dist. for like $129 shipped.

 

Want a safe and reliable set-up it will cost you but I'd say go with a MSD 6AL box and a pro billett dist. that way if you want to upgrade the car in the future you wont have to dump more money in the ign. system since it's already there. Your looking at about $400-$450 for the package.
