My stock HEI distributor is fixing to bite the dust soon, and since this is going to be one of the only reasons I'll have fun a long time to tinker with the engine, I figured it would be good to add some *goodies* to the ignition . I'm going to get an msd or mallory hei dist. with a 50K volt coil. As far as plugs and wires go I was looking at ngk plugs and some good msd 8.5mm wires. I was also looking at some type of ignition amplifier with a launch rpm limiter, though I don't know what works with an hei dist. Anyone have some good ideas about what to get for this? I was looking at the msd 6A or 6AL with the blaster coil but I'm not sure if they work with hei. Any suggestions will be helpful.
