Need to tune at all after changing to dual snorkel?

Ever since changing from an LG4 single snorkel to a dual snorkel air cleaner, My check engine light comes on at highway speeds and goes off when driving around town. I have an '86 IROC LG4. Is there any tuning I need to do to the carb or computers since the swap or did I somehow create a vaccuum leak somewhere?

Check what SES codes are stored and go from there to solve the problem.

Sorry, should have said, the codes are always lean conditions which is why I think leak.

Under normal circumstances it should not affect an SES light being turned. If you're going lean at freeway speeds, it could just be sucking in way to much or not getting enough fuel in the first place. I never had a problem with taking in too much air. Hope you get it all squared away.

Hey Oddball,

It is weird that you would get a lean condition just out of a better flowing air-intake.

Throw a post up on our board, I'm sure there is someone local that can take a look for you.
