Re: my camaro is a freak of nature...

actually,...if you completly gutted the car al all un-nessacary weight to operate,... all interior/inner fenders, accessories and put ....fiberglass door pannels fenders and hood....then a stock 305 would make the 13's....weight would make the difference....I wonder what the weight of these claimed 13 sec. 305 cars are.....

What race weight are we talking about here?

Re: my camaro is a freak of nature...

Well I guess my car isnt considered stock (not sure of mods) but with 3.73 gears and as mean ofa pull as it has it CAN't be that hard for a lightly pampered L98 to make the 13's....but i suppose 3.73 gears is a great advantage in the quarter. Now a stock 305 even the most powerful speed density TPI version would have a hard time making those times with a unoptioned car. As for the L98 I would not rule those cars out with the torque and potential HP that is only childs play away from being opened up. The TPI cars had MANY flow problems, heads/runners/base/exhaust/manifolds...

it would have to be in the 1.5-1.7 range. and a car on slicks isnt stock.

There's enough bull**** flying around in this post, please do no add to it. You DID NOT make 512 lb/ft of torque in a naturally aspirated 327. Furthermore, I find it hard to believe a trap of only 106mph with all that power. Those numbers are indicative of USING your nitrous.

I gotta agree with this guy. Looks like you "NA" numbers are actual numbers coming from a single stage nitrous shot.

This thread has been quite ridiculous.

And these are actual dyno numbers or Desktop Dyno numbers?

The reason I ask is because my car should do pretty close to 12.4 @ 110 with 300rwhp and 315rwtq. If you're making that much power you should be solidly in the 11's with about 116-117mph trap speed.

And I'll agree with a 305 3rd gen in the 13's completely gutted with fiberglass doors and Lexan windows weighing in at about 2500 lbs.

lol @ "Yah but he/I can DRIVE" the car. Get real. How hard is it to keep your foot on the floor after you cut a good 60' time? You can't make the car go any faster than the power output from the motor allows. You guys sound like a bunch of 16 year old ricers. Do you guys actually believe all of this or are you just a bunch of trolls who are trying to pass this off as real? There are probably a whole lot of noobies reading this refuse and putting some stock in what you're saying being truthful.

Fact: No STOCK as STOCK can be L98 powered car will ever trap 105mph in the 1/4 mile.

Fact: No STOCK as STOCK can be 305TPI powered car will ever crack 13's. Ever...

However, I can see your claims being real if we assume we're talking about a 1/4 kilometer track and the trap speeds are in kph as well.

Re: my camaro is a freak of nature...

personally I don't care what you guys say, these aren't my cars, they are people I know,
I've seen them run the times and traps,

I said internally stock, heads, cam bottom end and also intake,

either way you guys keep spending huge money on your cars and run slow times,

I think for the most part you're all just pissed off you can't break into the 13s or barely run 100mph traps with your heavily modded cars and these guys are running these traps and times with bolt on stockers,

my 305 3.08 rear vert runs mid 90 traps and my motor is bagged beyond belief

I'm done with this post you guys go on laughing, while I go on racing

So which is it? A stock 305 with headers, full exhaust, fresh rebuild etc. etc. etc.

I'll also be racing... in my 385ci A4 car. I hope I can cut a 1.8 60' maybe I'll hit 11's due to my launch... Kidding actually, I just hope to roll in on my Torq-Thrust II's and blast off 12's without even airing down the tires. It'll be a little hard to launch on street tires with whatever it was....380ft lbs TQ.

Now, I in no way want to have an internet pissing match with you guys, we're all car guys. I am just pointing out the fact that what you said, and what you say you said are different things.
