the guy with the 305 that ran 13.8 and traped 105mph, yanked his motor and has put a supercharged LT1 with a 6 speed in its place,
the guy I posted a link that ran a 13.9 @ 101 mph, his car was stolen and burned,
the other guy I know that ran a 13.9 sold his car
my bros 350 that trapped 105mph, had the motor pulled it got a full forged balanced and blueprint 355 on a 150 shot of nitrous, so it should be trapping alot higher then 105mph now,
as soon as I get my new motor in I'll go run my car and tape it I should trap 96-99mph
stock, with exhaust and a chip

for now, my motor died,
I need like $12,000 to do a 383 and tranny swap, so I'm throwing a temp 1 in,
I also haven't decided if I want an HSR or go with a ported TPI setup,
my brother has ported TPI setup, if he can flow to 5500rpm on his setup I might stick with the TPI,
got to wait and see what his pulls

find somebody that can do custom chips, I knocked 4 tenths and added 3mph to my 1/4 mile

don't really like the way it looks after its modified for TPI, plus HSR is reasonably priced and I want Vortec bolt patern,
I want to run aluminum fast burn heads

The numbers don't lie, an L98 car against an LT1 car with the same driver in it is going to be the end for an L98 car. You can call this bench racing, but its facts. How often do you actually ever go to the track? How many stock L98s do you see running even mid 14s? I can answer that for you. Very few. I have never actually seen a stock L98 run in the 13s in person, but I know there are guys who have done it, although very few and far between. I have seen stock LT1s in the 13s. This is real life. Sorry dude, too many variables involved in street racing for me to give your arguement much credence.
When I said a contest of high speed, I meant any race into triple digits, including from a stop. Fast cars have a way of getting to triple digit speeds with no problem. Stock 3rd gens don't have to worry about that, they don't get there all that fast.

And your Marco friend originally had an auto car as you claim... That would equip his engine with the "peanut" cam, making your claims even more rediculous.

My friend Marcos car was a 90 when auto and stick got the same cam except in a G92 305 when it got the same cam as the 350,
you are thinking of MAF when the cams were different
I'm not sure why he swapped the LT1 in, but I can tell you that it is more Boost friendly then the 305, its not much higher compression, it has aluminum heads and reverse flowe cooling which allows this high compression motor to preform well with even 87 octane making in an ideal candidate for boost and 94 octane, which he plans on running it with a blower
plus his 305 was MAF limited to about 350hp with the stock ecm
I got an intercooled setup with 8psi of boost on my LT1, goes like crazy really impressed with the 3rd gear rubber it lays
but it was/is a dog with out the blower
