MiniRam
MiniRam
I was reading over on tpis.com and it said if you put a miniram on your TPI vehicle, expect 95+ horsepower gains. Does that mean that on a stock L98 (245) you'd you be pushing 340 or even anywhere close? That sounds a little excessive.
What kind of hp/tq gains does a StealthRam give you? Is the $890 diff (1190-300) worth it? Anyone know what an L98 with SR, mild cam and bolt-on's would have?

I dont have any personal experience with either but i do have a general understanding. The application that you plan on putting it into will have a large impact on what you decide on. The stealth ram seems to be a very good streetable mod where you get a good torque and hp boost throughout your power band. The thing about the mini-ram is that it widens your power band i believe that it will allow your engine to breathe strong right until about 6000 rpms so while your not getting anything too noticeable down low it will really help your engine up in the higher end of your power band. If it is going to be a street application most people go with the stealth ram partly because of cost but also because you get a noticeable power gain under normal driving conditions and in the occasional rice smoking. What the tpis will let you do (especially in a manual) is have a car that will be happier at a higher rpm. While that is fantastic if your building a race car for a street application its probably not as practical. Personally i plan on going with the mini-ram when i get something but the idea for my car is to mod it until its not street legal and then turn it into an autocross car. Its all preference though
