No, the L69 was the H.O. motor with 190hp. Z28 only.

The LG4 305 was a extra cost option on some models and standard on others from 1982 to 1987 on 3rd gen Camaro/Firebirds.

Re: lg4

I had a 1984Z28 that had the LG4 305 it was rated at 150 HP

my friend had a 1983 LG$ 305 that was rated at 145 hp

I had another 1984 Z28 that had the L69 HO 190 HP

Did you know that in 1980 they put a 305 in the Corvette California only I think

Re: lg4

I was just saying that basic bolt-ons WILL make that LG4 not "snore, bore" or whatever the hell else he said. With a little more than just bolt-ons you will have a monster LG4 that makes LS1's and LT1's "boring, sleepy" etc..

Question Re: lg4

Just remenber, its his "ESTIMATE". So he may be 50 to 100 HP to high. Unless in his rebuild he threw away everything from that LG4 and just started with a Bare Block.

Re: lg4

i doubt if even a cam would reach that, the compression so low and the chambers on the head dont make for decent power plus were not talking fresh motors here either........drop that sucker on the dyno, ill pay for the dyno time..put thqat money where the mouth is...........and yes the lg4 is a bore ,snore or what ever the hell i said......it was the standard v8 offered in all their v8 cars............i dont think anyone will say that its a great engine with potential.............and let me see these ls1 's your eating for lunch
